Ludacris Releases Song Attacking Clinton, Jackson, McCain

In his new song “Politics: Obama Is Here,” rapper and staunch Barack Obama supporter Ludacris trashes presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain and former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton.

“[BHillary hated on you, so that b—- is irrelevant. … McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed. Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped[/B],” Ludacris sings.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper, whose real name is Christopher Bridges, also takes aim at the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was recently caught on video slamming Obama.

“Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what? If you said it then you meant it how you want it have a gut,” Ludacris sings, refering to Jackson’s off-the-cuff criticism of Obama’s speeches on morality at black churches.

In another line, he disses Bush.

“Ball up all of his speeches and I throw ‘em like candy wrap, cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant and you the worst of all 43 presidents,” the lyrics read.

In his song Ludacris encourages people to go to the polls and make Obama the first black president of the United States: “So get off your ass, black people, it’s time to get out and vote. Paint the White House black and I’m sure that’s got ‘em terrified.”

Obama’s spokesman Bill Burton told Politico the presumptive Democratic nominee condemned the song.

“As Barack Obama has said many, may times in the past, rap lyrics too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” Burton told Politico. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

Obama campaign rejects rapper Ludacris' rhymes By DEANNA BELLANDI, Associated Press Writer

Barack Obama's presidential campaign said Wednesday that a new rhyme by supporter and rapper Ludacris is "outrageously offensive" to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Republican Sen. John McCain and President Bush.

The song brags about an Obama presidency being destiny. It uses an expletive to describe Clinton, calls Bush "mentally handicapped" and says McCain doesn't belong in "any chair unless he's paralyzed."

The lyrics also don't spare the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who recently apologized for making crude comments about Obama. "If you said it then you meant it," intones the rapper.

Obama's campaign blasted "Politics As Usual," which is on the "Gangsta Grillz: The Preview" mixtape with Atlanta spinner DJ Drama.

"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to," campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in an e-mail statement. "This song is not only outrageously offensive to Sen. Clinton, Rev. Jackson, Sen. McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

Ludacris' publicist and manager did not immediately return calls Wednesday for comment.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Obama included Ludacris when he talked about hip-hop moguls and rappers he thought were "great talents and great businessmen." Obama met privately with Ludacris, talking with him in Chicago about young people in 2006 before he announced his run for president.

In the two-minute track, the song makes a pitch for Obama to pick Ludacris as his vice president, rhyming "Hillary hated on you, so that (expletive) is irrelevant."

In the song, Ludacris also encourages black people to vote on Election Day.

"The world is ready for change 'cause Obama is here," he says repeatedly.

    Ludacris "Obama's Here" Lyrics

I'm back on it like I just signed my record deal
Yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
Never should have hated, You never should've doubted him
With a slot in the president's iPod Obama shouted 'em

Said I handle my biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer
Better yet put me in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that is irrelevant

Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
If you said it then you meant it how you want it head or gut?
And all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win majority vote in every state on my man

You can't stop what's bout to happen, we bout to make history
The first black president is destined and it's meant to be
The threats ain't fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
So get off your ass, black people, it's time to get out and vote!

Paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and just throw 'em like candy wrap
'cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents

Get out and vote or the end'll be near
The world is ready for change because Obama is here
    'cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here, yeah
    cuz Obama is here

Of course Obama is going to "denounce" the song. It would be political suicide not to.

But what the is he doing associating with an uninformed, unintelligent rapper in the first place, who's lyrics speak of criminal activity, drug use, and berating women?

Wow that's the worst attempt at a "song" I've ever heard in my life. If I'm McCain, I make sure that song is played on every radio station in America in the days leading up to the election. He'd be the runaway winner.

Speaking of CC, they try to inject their wing-nut views into everything, even home and garden shows and car-repair shows on the weekend...just ask Duel...I wonder how much more desperate they have to get to have Tony, Tim and Manu to do PSA's for McCain...

Lame as . I've always liked McCain but this is just plain ludicrous. All this weak smack from the republicans is going to give their candidate a bad rap. WTF cares what music a candidate listens to?
I don't care that Bush or McCain love his beer drinking country music.

    who cares.

That's my problem with McCain's campaign. I was telling a friend the other day, a fellow Obama supporter, that the McCain of 2000 would have cleaned Obama's clock in a general election. This iteration of McCain is exactly what McCain of 2000 was railing against. His campaign has failed in that they've kept him from being the candidate that excited independents and moderate Democrats. It's a shame and it will probably cost him the presidency.

But this isn't 2000 and the time wouldn't have been right for Obama. Now is the the time. I'll be surprised if Obama wins. I just hear too much talk from too many people who simply won't vote for Obama 'cause the republican pundits and bloggers are putting so much false crap out there that people are buying into it. Still shocks me how so many still believe the muslim bs about Obama. Some just are too lazy to look up the facts for themselves.

Let's see the republicans won with Bush, hmm... I don't think running as a liberal wins elections. McCains only chance is to expose Obama as the communist that he is.

There was a recent article in the local fishwrap where 15% of Americans couldn't consistently tell their right hand from their left hand - so I'm not surprised at all that 1-10 Americans still believes that Obama is a closed muslim....
