    Yeah shortstop Breidgnac :sp:
    and a pitcher I believe.

Great trade by the Rays, he will fit in perfectly and will really help that team out, even though I still think Jason Bay is overrated.

No question Bay is overrated, but like you said he will fit in good there. He is a real nice player, real good. Not great, but real good.

Ohman to the Cardinals is now dead. ( you Atlanta)

Manny going anywhere is now dead as well.

Looks like the last deal that will go down is Raul Ibanez to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Which makes, nooo sense at all.

Looks like the Tampa Bay Rays are saying that they think Bay is getting traded to either Boston or now LA, and manny Ramirez is involved.

    I love trade deadlines

We probably won't know for another hour, maybe more what may or may not have transpired at the deadline, even though it is past 4pm eastern. Should be interesting. Watch nothign happen.

Hate that this trade didn't go through, but I can't fault the Pirates for going with the three-team deal.

While most of the prospects received were marginal, I can't guarantee that Niemann or Brignac (two rumored to be in offer from Rays) would turn out much better....though they certainly have more upside.

I think the Rays REALLY could've benefited from having Bay in the lineup, but they were smart not to mortgage their future by giving up any of their three top pitching prospects (Price, Davis, and ickson) who will likely contribute as soon as a this month.
