why would anyone interview a bubba?
Even Glenn Beck asks "What does that even mean?".
why would anyone interview a bubba?
I have no idea why Toby Keith's opinions, asinine as they are, should make any difference to anyone. The fact that he's being interviewed about this sort of stuff is just another reminder of how insane our political system has become.
It's all the more brilliant that he completely showed his ass and perpetuated the racial divide that he seems to believe won't ever be solved.
hmmmmm
as bad as a multi-millionaire Actor telling us Socialism is great and we all need to cut back on consumption

Everyone knows what a white kid is doing when he is trying to "act black"...
Observing the same thing in reverse is racist I guess...
Toby Keith didn't say that. he said qoute "there are black people who say...".
Thank you for your dilligent research.
end thread/
Why is Toby Keith even being interviewed about anything?
I thought the whole "There are those who say...." is just a way of commenting on something without having to take responsibility for the comment. Besides, really, how many Black people does Toby Keith associate with...?And to say that the racial divide will never end. And that Blacks believe Obama is only going to get elected because he carries himself as a caucasian. C'mon, the guy was talking out of his ass and even Glenn Beck had to have him explain away his idiotic comments.
Because that's what people want to hear about.
Funny how you only care about correctly attributing quotes when it's your ox being gored.
Why are you stalking me? You must have a crush on me.wah!!
It's pretty entertaining when Colbert interviews him.
Some people say Obama may be the Anti-Christ. Some people also say G-Town is an idiot.
wow even the formidable e-lawyer has comprehension issues.
but america agrees, Oh Gee is the pinnacle of stupidity.
Listen to the clip and then tell me that anything that I've posted about it is wrong.
If there's more to the story, it's not something I felt compelled to seek out, mostly because I don't give a damn what Toby Keith thinks about anything. I do, however, hear him using two different phrases to describe the possibility of a racial divide and then claiming -- consistent with that description -- that Obama's potential election would do nothing to evidence a closing of that divide because, to paraphrase the vapid celebrity, "he isn't really black."
Now it may be that Keith had some sort of "I'm not saying that I believe this stuff" statement that immediately preceded the words in the clip. But it's undoubtedly true that when Beck gave him the opportunity to say, "But all that stuff is nonsense" with a concrete example, Keith went right back to evidence to support the premise -- namely, his belief that Obama isn't black enough for black people (whatever the that means). If I discern from that a belief that Toby Keith thinks there's a racial divide (for whatever trivial value that belief might have), it would hardly seem to be an unreasonable conclusion. To conclude otherwise would require that I believe that Mr. Keith didn't mean anything he said after Beck interrupted him and that he was just playing Devil's Advocate; that would require me to basically ignore what he said -- which is probably the best course for all of us, since nothing that Toby Keith says is particularly worthy of discussion.
Look i know you must have mustered up a lot of courage to bash toby keith on the internets. Amongst your educated liberal law buddies, standing up to Toby Keith was a pretty risky endeavour.
It must have made you feel tougher than the one time you ran over a kitten with you're hybrid while you were sipping your coffee with your non-fat creamer.
You're a tough guy, you look at middle america and laugh at their banjo picking, walmart loyalty, cousin kissing ways from the concrete walls of your residence behind your internet firewall.
Those rural bubbas better thank the Lord that this urban yuppie latte drinker with a wrist protector is being held back by the internets, or else there be some hurt and recokining coming to them hillbillies.
You know, it really is a good thing that you don't engage in stereotyping and that only the people that you criticize are guilty of such things.
Later for now -- I've got to go listen to the second half of my new Toby Keith CD.
Now you're flaunting Toby Keith.. typical.
All of your stereotyping must save you infinite amounts of real brain power.
Toby Keith knows bubbas are his main suckers, and he's pandering.
"socialism" is just more slander from the right-wing bubbas.
social security is socialism. Ask Americans if they want that disbanded and all their contributions returned.
have you read HUSSEIN's final solution... i mean energy plan?
Yeah, teach me the power to discern people from the interwebs oh sentient e-lawyer being...
Oh, I don't know . . . . I just listen to the words that they say and presume that they mean what they say.
It would certainly appear that your chosen method of discerning people is to just assume, assume, assume.
To each his own, I suppose.
I've got to get back to listening to Toby Keith now and reading this book about how to pretend to be something that you aren't when posting in internet forums.
