yes very obvious that the mavs are not better than the spurs

What about Sun fans?
Back to the original thread. I think Artest will be best coming off the bench. Battier works well with McGrady and Yao on offense since he can camp behind the three and make people pay. Artest can then come into the game for Battier, or take over the offensive load when McGrady, or Yao needs a break and then they can avoid those long droughts they have been prone to over the last few (10) years. Barry will also help in this regard. Basically, if the Rockets got *any* efficient shooting from a third option they have won pretty handily. Replacing Luther Head and Bobby Jackson with Ron Artest and Brent Barry is fantastic.
It will be interesting to see what combinations Adelman can through out there. The Rockets were pretty successful in using a quick lineup against the Jazz in the playoffs. Having Artest and Dorsey could make for some interesting matchup problems for other teams. I think they have enough depth and talent on the roster to be less vulnerable to small ball lineups like Golden State and Phoenix have been using against them in recent years.
Al Jefferson would eat your second unit alive.
you are an idiot if you think Scola sucks....not even joking,...you might even be called a "Mavs Fan" if you take it far enough ....so beware...
Really, because last year when we played the almighty Al Jefferson and the wolves, our starters were killing them so bad, at halftime we pretty much put in the second unit and the Wolves still couldn't make up any ground.....and that was before Battier and Barry became added peices to that second unit.

You know nothing about our roster or our "second unit".

Those are okay. Someone posted a really good one at Clutchfans.
The quality of the Artest picture in both of those wallpapers is very crappy compared to T-mac and Yao.
You can all talk mess about our health, which I can't exactly blame you for, but when you're going into a game with a healthy Rockets squad, how do you feel you match up?
Rockets fan here. Whoever said that Scola can't rebound needs new glasses, or was just trolling. In his rookie season, Scola averaged 6.4 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per game. He will be a starter next season; if you scale his minutes to 35, he should average 8-10 rebounds per game. That's not shabby. Also, Scola gets nearly a third of his rebounds on the offensive end. This guy is unbelievably tough and tenacious.
Another point re: Scola. When he became a starter for us, we went 31-7.

lets all watch it fall apart like a house of cards.....
and then watch the Rocket fans disappear off this board......
Rockets have a quality group of players. Those lace curtain mother ers just better stay healthy.
Great pics, Tmac-yao-artest and GuerrillaBlack.
We will see. Will Manu stay healthy this year, especially after going through a hard tournament since Argentina is expected to contend for Olympic gold? The Spurs should be concerned.
Artest will allow us to rest our other two stars, making it more likely that they will stay healthy. And he will cover for a brief absence of TMac or Yao, allowing the Rockets to continue crushing teams despite some injury problems.
That's all you can hope for right?.........because if it doesn't "fall apart" Houston is going to run away with the Southwest division.
you should be more concerned with the playoffs! the hairnets won the southwest division and look what that got 'em....
You sound like all the laker ass-bags around here talking about what COULD BE.....hype it up all you want but if/when it doesnt work, prepare to get embarassed on this board!
who knows whos gonna stay healthy, but tat the same time, im not running around making posts about how good the Spurs COULD be....
Thats because the Spurs are really ing old, on a heavy decline - basically done. Of course you wouldn't make a post like that.
I am focussed on the playoffs, but winning the southwest will also give us a top seed and put us in better position to get out of the first round. All your doing is being a ass by saying "better hope this or that doesn't happen"......I could say the same kinda crap about your team. As far as talking about "what could be", it's the fcking offseason jackass, that's all anybody can do in any thread right now.![]()

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't mind Spurs fans talking crap. But you have to be kidding me Mavs fans? LMAO. Not only has your team dropped off, but they have'nt won jack in thier entire exsistence. Choked off the finals, now your owner might leave the Mavs for the Cubs. Get something to brag about before you talk about the Rockets.
OH, YOU are one to run around making comments about other people's posts![]()

.... Do you need a reminder of how you dropped off the face of the earth after you realized your team failed and you had both feet in your mouth!
GTFO!
Ive went through 8 pages of blabbering.
First of all, the Mavs fans in here need to shut the up, they are quite in denial about the Rockets, its ok, us Spurs fans, and the Rockets fans here will laugh at you when you are a bottom tier with the Grizzlies.
2nd, anyone who thinks this doesnt help the Rockets belongs in special ed, he is a great defender, and has underrated offensive game, its why the Mavericks tried to trade Josh the pot smoking Howard for him, and miserably failed.
The Mavericks are going nowhere, their window is closed, have fun rebuilding and being last in the SW division for the next 10 years.
