On a more serious note. These massive spectacles with thousands of performers are right down their alley. So far it's pretty impressive.
Ughhhh For some reason I'm not excited about this at all. Around here they are playing up Michael Phelps like he is the second coming of Jesus Christ or something since he's from Baltimore. I could miss this entire Olympiad and not feel too disappointed......
I'm still a sucker for the whole Olympic thing (although it's getting harder to be excited about it). But you know they poured a ton of money and effort in this opening ceremony, so I'll keep it switched on while I post.
So far I was really impressed by the massive opening fireworks and the HD projection they have going on on the floor.
SO yes I'll watch more obscure sports ion the next three weeks, than normal

Yeah I always end up watching some of it. But in year's past I have followed it more than I have this time around for whatever reason. I'm sure I'll watch Team USA's meltdown against Argentina again.....
