We need to sweep the Pirates tonight and keep the pressure on LA to beat good teams on the road. They need to go 6-1 on this homestand. Anytime you have a homestand and have your two aces pitching 4-of-7 games and a fifth by a pitcher who hasn't allowed an earned run in three starts, and are playing sub-.500 teams, you have to take advantage.
They go 6-1 and LA goes 3-3 and the Diamondbacks get back to a reasonable lead.

I can't believe the Diamondbacks dropped two in a row to the effin' Pirates and Braves... Effers better get their act together and win the next three. If they go 4-3 at home vs. two sub-.500 clubs who've either traded or lost to injury their best players recently, then they just need to refund ticket expense and shut the season down.

I hate Doug Davis. I don't think I get more enfuriated with another pitcher. Opponants damn near bat .300 off him the first-through-third times through the order, and if this wasn't bad enough, the guy walks upwards of four batters a game, and damn near falls behind 2-0, 3-1 on every batter.
Dan Haren failed to give a quality start, and it appears the Diamondbacks are officially done. If they can't convincingly take a 7-game homestand vs. two patch-work/mash-unit sub-.500 squads then I have no faith they'll refind what they have had in the past and make the playoffs. If you can't win these series, then you don't deserve faith.
