Actually our pitching is ok. Wandy has been solid. Moehler has been a huge surprise this year and Wolf has been ok since we got him. Roy hasnt had an outstanding year but he is Roy. We just need to get Backe out of the rotation, that guy gives up a HR in the first inning almost every single time. Im pretty sure our season is pretty much over because although hot right now, so are the brewers, cards, and cubs and without Lee its only a matter of time that we cool down. If we can somehow sweep Arizona, then I say we still have a shot at the WC, but we can win all we want but we need others to lose and there are too many teams ahead of us in the wild card hunt.
sons we are still winning WITHOUT Lee ... that isn't our problem. The problem is that we are in the NL Central which is the best division in the NL. Even after winning 8 in a row, we are still 7 games out of the wild card. Our ONLY hope is if we can sweep the Brewers next week to get within 3 or 4 games from the Wild Card with over 30 games left. Don't count em out yet sons.
gotta love Biggio ... its crazy knowing that he and Bagwell will never play again. I just keep waiting for them to come back sons lol
