Is China's interest in Olympic sports recent? I am not trying to be rude, I am innately curious. Also, if you know the details, what is going on with the suggestion that China's female gymnists are underage?
United states of America had been dominated the Olympics ,was the top sport nation in the world since the 1st time Olympics.
i just wonder that can team USA achieve the top sport nation in Beijing Olympics like what they did in the past?
USA got 10 gold medals and ranks the second in the olympics so far .China got 22 gold medals by now.
and i would like to say that USA just relies on Michael Phelps to get gold medals for USA. half of the 10 gold medals were gotten by Michael P~

Anyway~
I have to admit that MP is really strong at swimming, he is incredible and fantastic, i admire him for his talent as well as his natural ,i believe he will achieve his dream of 8 gold medals in Beijing, but on the other hand, the USA female swimmers were so disappointing~
New week - the athletics will start where USA got many chances to win gold.
Well they just dominated the Greeks in basketball
China owns diving and gymnastics and that is what has happened so far....like prezm said, when track and field starts up, the US will start racking up more gold.
^ And as far as the medal count goes, we keep China and the USA keep switching the top spot. Next week with the track and field, we'll pull away.
Considering that the events the US normally dominate haven't started/finished yet I think the medal count disparity in favor of the U.S. might be one of the largest ever.
Since when did only gold medals count? Last I checked, silver and bronze were still included in the overall medal tally.

Personally I'd rather have 10 bronze and silver medals than 3 gold.
