I don't. I like Chamillionaire but Lupe is just a bit better. BOTH are better than wayne which is what this thread is about. He is massively overrated. I really don't understand how he is as popular as he is. I hear people tell me he's the "best rapper alive" and "he's a beast," and I ask them in what way is he the best and nobody can tell you. His delivery, flow, lyrics are subpar at best. The remixes he is doing now are terrible.

i guess so. i mean chamillionaire can definitely hold his one against lupe. and wayne is the best rapper alive.....if you compare him to other radio hits. after that weak ass plies song, then soulja boy, then wayne comes on with a milli, he looks like a god.

Lil Wayne is a hype rapper. He has clever punchlines and similies but other than that he is nothing great, and just sounds like a dude saying random sentences and thinks it make sense while as the same time the audience mistakenly listens in awe. He does pick amazing beats and this is where he has the advantage. Often times on really dope beats, you get somewhat of a pass on lyrics, and sometimes get over credited as well.

There are tons of current rappers better than Wayne. just to name a few

At the end of the day its just all different levels of hip hop. I tend to listen to with an open mind. Is lil wayne hip hop? Unfortunately he is. Even the bootleg you hear on the radio is hip hop, but its not in its purest form and it has been watered the down.

I loved Hot Boys Lil'Wayne but I cant stand the new Weezy. He has some nice tracks but some are garbage to me. Some Ol' School 3 6 Mafia cant be touched but nowadays, its all about Lupe and Chamillionare....
