Ljubljana - Poročali smo, da si želi NBA moštvo Phoenix Suns imeti v svoji sredini Gorana Dragića že v prihajajoči sezoni, vendar sam akter te zgodbe nič ne ve o morebitnem predčasnem odhodu v ZDA

"Trenutno sem en teden v Španiji in treniram s Tau Ceramico. Moram povedati, da me kar bolijo mišice, vendar ne od teka, temveč od vadbe v fitnesu. Treniramo dvakrat na dan," je uvodoma za Sportal dejal Goran Dragić, potem ko smo ga zmotili med popoldanskim spancem. Ko je izvedel, da ameriški časopisi, še posebej tisti iz Arizone, na veliko pišejo, da ga Phoenix (na letošnjem naboru si je v drugem krogu priboril Dragića) praktično že uvršča v kader za prihodnjo sezono, se je takoj predramil iz spanca in dejal: "Nič ne vem o tem. Z managerjem smo se dogovorili, da bom to sezono igral za Tau Ceramico pri trenerju Dušku Ivanoviću, ki mi je obljubil 20 minut na tekmo, s čimer sem zadovoljen. Naslednje leto pa bi potem odšel v Phoenix. Tudi sam sem presenečen, da se pišejo takšne zgodbe. Do mene še niso prišle kakšne informacije v povezavi s Phoenixom."

V ZDA so se razpisali, da je problem le še odškodnina. Baskovski klub zahteva od Američanov visoko odškodnino. Pogodba Dragića s Tau Ceramico naj bi velevala, da bi moral slovenski reprezentant za predčasno prekinitev pogodbe plačati več kot 1,5 milijona dolarjev. Phoenix Suns lahko da po pravilniku NBA za igralca iz Evrope, ki ima še pogodbo, vsega 500.000 dolarjev. Razlika bi torej ležala na plečih Gorana Dragića, vendar so Američani še zapisali, da bi dal Phoenix ravno zaradi tega razloga Dragiću letno pogodbo okoli 2 milijona dolarjev, s čimer bi lahko pokrili preostanek odškodnine.

Za sedaj je najverjetnejša ta možnost, da bodo slovenski ljubitelji košarke videli "Gogija" igrati v Tivoliju 30. oktobra, ko bo Tau Ceramica gostovala v Ljubljani v okviru evrolige.

Phoenix should be willing to pay that, though, because the Suns have long been intrigued by Dragic's potential, who is 6-4 and 22 years old. In fact, on draft night, Phoenix considered taking Dragic with the 15th pick. The Suns decided to gamble on taking him in the second round, though, because second-round picks are not held to the rookie salary scale and would have the financial flexibility to work out an early buyout.

Spanish media now agree Dragic will sign with the Suns.

TAU Vitoria will let guard Goran Dragic travel to Phoenix to pass a physical and finally sign with the Suns.

If Tau doesn't believe that Dragic will help them in the long term because they think that he isn't good enough or that he will leave them for the NBA in one year, the best thing they have to do is to try to get the most money with him.

Latest news hinted that Suns and Tau has reach an agreement on Dragic's buyout. Everybody will be happy, Suns will get the players they like, Dragic will play in NBA and Tau will get some money to spend on other players. I hope for Tau that they have a solid plan B because few players are left on the market and they will need a PG if they lost Dragic.
