ing Richers strike again!!
Hey gang I've got another load of bull piling up on my end. Not only did I have to work Sunday but come to find out Sunday morning the Boss's Mother in law died. So I was sypathetic of course....put on my fake frown and acted like I give because the reality of it is I don't.
Boss's family stands to gain about 4 million due to her demise. Its no wonder his Wife (the daughter) pretty much quit working to go to Houston to care for her. I could see the $$$ in her eyes as she headed out each week to be a good daughter.
So I get told at the end of the day yesterday that I'll have to put off my Wed. day off since he's not going to be here.
. This. . Why in the should I have to be inconvienced by this . I love how everyone has to be responsible for other people inability to find ways to get done.
I get 1 day off a month not counting Sundays which I normally have off except this weekend. 1 Mother ing Day a month I can sleep and handle my personal business. 1 God Damn Day and now I'm stuck coming into work for my soon to be Super Richer boss. This. Is. ing. Bull .

BTB I feel your pain. Everyone around here gets off all the time whenever they ask for it, but when I do its a big ing deal. Its not my fault that the others on my team are incompetent and can't handle it when im not here. Its one of those situations when your screwed because you do your job good.

At my job, I have to take clients out about once a month for hunting or fishing, kiss their ass for a couple of days and wait on these suckers hand and foot.
My boss goes from time to time and has expressed to all of us that since this takes time away from his family, well then he deserves the extra few weeks he takes of vacation annually on top of whatever he already takes.
However, when I tried to pull that , they explained to me that since I don't have kids, then it really isn't that big a deal if I leave.
I can't ing stand the double standard in the workplace when it comes to children. It's not my fault that you were too drunk to wear a condom and now the little tax breaks are hurting your wallet. you.
Oh, and I don't give a about Little Johnny's baseball game, or Becky Sue's soccer game............your kids are ugly and annoying so spare me the intimate details about lives that I couldn't give a about.

LMAO the ones that piss me off is they make a big ing deal about when we call in sick but because little susie has the sniffles its ok for coworker number 1 to call in sick. I have over 4 weeks of sick time that can be used and when I call in its the end of the ing world!! The way I see if sick time is my time sick or not. I should be able to use whatever I want when I want to without anyone questioning if im really sick. Yeah ive only called in sick 2 times this year and they still question if im really sick. I guess thats what I get for coming into work when im sick or have a little cold.
I hate it when I don't get my day off. Why does this happen to me?
Yeah man try working in a place that requires someone here 24/7 everyday including holidays. The "family" workers get dibs on holidays off because they have a family they need to be with, THAT . Just because im single doesnt mean I dont have family that want me around. To top it off I live either 2 hours or 5 hours away from family when my ass clown coworkers are 5 mins away from their family.
maybe you have a jackass boss who thinks his family members death should up your perfectly good day.
They used to pull that crap at the holidays where I worked. Only people with kids got time off. Then everyone had to adjust their schedule to accomodate day care or school hours. No one could take vacation in summer because everyone with kids got first choice!
Luckily I was fortunate enough to quit work once I had kids. Last year I was offered a $60/hr contract job----that I had no problem turning down because I know I can't be a reliable employee and have kids at home.
ATRAIN and johnsmith. You guys need to create an old dying grandmother that constantly needs your attention. Make is so that you've officially moved in with her to care for her needs. This way when the time comes to get some "you" time you can play the dying grandma card.

You know what else pisses me off, when there is a death in one of my coworkers family or friends and everyone around here gets them a card or plant or some . Not that im a cold bas but last year I lost my cousin, grandfather, and uncle all in a 3 month span and i didnt even get so much as a sorry for your loss or anything. Did I expect it, no I could care less, but yet im the asshole for not wanting to sign the card or pitch in for a gift or ing plant.
Aren't there some kind of equality laws that pertain to single workers vs. family workers. I don't see how they can play favorites one way or the other.

Next time someone gives you whip out a wallet with like 5 dead family members and ask those ass s where's your god damn fern or balloon or whatever it is you pathetic losers hand out to suck each others sorry ass s. I"M PISSED

No way. You're only doing what you need to do to level the playing field. Now if he was doing it to gain an edge it'd be bad karma. Check your karma to reality handbook and you'll clearly see that using this to keep yourself from getting ed over is perfectly acceptable. Remember to not use gammys real name though.
NO , just last week there was a card going around for a cowworker father in law. I was thinking that wasnt even ing blood and she is getting a card, that . I lost 3 blood relatives within a few weeks of each other and only one person said he was sorry, but then again he is the only person I wouldnt shoot at work if I ever went postal.

Hey you guys should all adopt one of those starving kids from TV!! It's cheap and you can get "family time" when you need it.
The "card for the loss in the family" ing kills me. I hardly even know the co-worker and I sure as don't know the dead person. And does it really help the person mourning to see Johnsmith's John Han on a card when you know for sure that Johnsmith doesn't even like you in the firstplace?
