Is Oberto injured!? He played no minutes according to that boxscore. Is argentina just resting him? (If so, why not rest Manu?)

Both Delfino and Oberto are injured.
None of the injuries appear to be serious.

I don't get why any of their stars played. It was a meaningless game.

    37 points... impressive.

So who listened to Larry Brown to sign Buttler only to trade him and Scola because of cap issues?

If we had Scola, we may have beaten the Lakers.

This Scola incident is going to be even more painful if the Rockets eliminate us in the playoffs. :-(

Maybe we can all continue to cry about it and the past will miraculously change itself.

I don't get why their second best player played the whole game when this one didn't matter one bit. At least Manu was allowed to rest. Nice to see he's still shooting a sweet percentage. I really wish that they'd played their worst five 25 minutes each, let everyone else rest. Nice win though.

You guys should try to bring V-Span over, that would make the trade a little more even.

I don't know if the Spurs would have beaten the Lakers with Scola but it would have been a closer series. If you watch him play he's like a pitbull he never quits and it's 110% all the time. He's like a hybrid between Manu and Battier but in a PF's body.

The dead horse keeps getting beaten because some still defend the front office on the deal.

Bottom-line: It was a bad deal. The organization is not doomed to mediocrity for decades because of it but the front office has lost a lot of it's lustre these past few years.

Mahinmi, Hill, and to a lesser extent Gist are critical to showing how much of the front office was Sam Shuler, Sam Presti or R.C. when it came to finding guys like Tony, Manu and Scola.

This front office has not done anything in the draft since Beno unless the above guys pan out. Laugh about Beno all you want and he didn't fit here but he is still in the league as a very late first rounder.

I agree that its in the past and we need to move on. However, I hate reading posts in here that defend every move the front office makes and by pointing out that the Spurs have won four championships. I think we all know that the Spurs have won four championships, but the issue here is that the front office made a mistake by trading away Scola for a bag of peanuts.

I can't understand why some of you don't admit to that.

i still dont know what was worse, letting go of scolla or hiring mighty mouse during the season when we already had proven championship back ups in jacque and beno. imo both stupid moves cost us another ring.(last season) so its try try again. maybe with roger putting in solid minutes at the 1 and 2 we get another chance.
