I was referring more to Shawn Johnson, but you must consider the physical force necessary to do some of the stunts they perform. Go to a meet in real life some time and watch the gymnasts in warm ups. I bet some of them have 40 inch vertical leaps, higher than that on the springy mat. It's uncanny.

Perhaps the most deceptive thing about the female gymnasts in particular is that they have complete body strength. Anyone who knows their worth in a weightroom has to chuckle at the guys who only work the "beach muscles" (abs, arms, shoulders, chest, back). Real strength comes from the entire body, and I bet there are some female gymnasts who can press that much -- or more.
