absolutely.
Yes, bring it back.
No, leave it be.
I think personally, we should bring it back for the road jerseys. Keep the home jerseys "Spurs".
Or have alternate jerseys with our old fiesta color logo. Pink shoes, orange shorts, and teal blue tops. Okay.. I'm kidding on that.
Thoughts?
As long as they make the jerseys with "San Antonio" more modern, I'd be all for it.
Absolutely, I would love to see that. Those jerseys are classic.
I would like to see the old Chaparral jerseys for our throw back nights
I would like to see an alternate jersey that says "SAN ANTONIO" on the front, and has the player name on the back in Gothic lettering over an icon of the Virgen de Guadalupe.
We go through this about twice a year....I would love to see "San Antonio" on an alternate jersey at least...I would really like it if they brought the old school gray unis back.. a la "The Iceman" era
yeah.
The black jerseys with the blak lettering and white outline would be fantastic.
Are you a or something? Who gives a as long as they win.
Did you hear that wooshing sound? That was the joke that just flew over your head.
yes to San Antonio on the road jerseys.
no to the Fiesta colors. That idea was re ed the first time around; it doesn't need a second coming.
I mean, I enjoy festivity and Fiesta and all....but PINK AND TEAL? It was almost hard to sport Spurs gear through most the 90s because of this brick of an idea.
Do any NBA teams use the city name anymore?
i wanna see the "los spurs" those were the shiii.
I think just the Knicks.
I did a quick browsing of the NBA Store; here are the teams that appear to use the city name on at least one of their jerseys:
Atlanta
Charlotte
Cleveland
Detroit
(Indiana)
(New Jersey)
New York
Orlando
Dallas
Denver
Los Angeles Clippers
Memphis
(Minnesota)
New Orleans
Phoenix
Portland
Sacramento
Seattle*
(Utah)
(states in parentheses)
I think "San Antonio" should be on the road jerseys
Trivia question! There actually was an NBA team that had uniforms that said "The City" along with an image of that city's skyline.
I know years ago, (60's), the Laker road uniforms said Los Angeles. In Baseball, the Dodgers used to be Dodgers at home, and Los Angeles on the road. Then they went exclusively Dodgers. A few years ago they went back to the old method. I think all road uniforms should have the city (or state) name on them.
Golden State Warriors, of course. Absolutely classic jerseys. They need to bring those back, too.
Edit: Of course, part of that was when they were known as the San Francisco Warriors.
San Antonio road jerseys.
