I knew I was missing several but geez.

I don't even want to talk about sports cards. I had nearly everything from the late 50's to the end of the 60's. I even had a Roy Campanella card from Brooklyn, not to mention Pete Rose and Nolan Ryan rookie cards. We moved and they disappeared. My great aunt was a teacher and her school consfiscated cards from kids who were bad. I ended up with them all, plus what I bought.

I hope the they didn't get trashed and someone is enjoying them today. For those of you that have a great collection, I am envious in a nice way.

Where do you purchase most of your cards from? Just got them out of packs over the years?

That's an incredible collection man. I thought I was doing good but I'm probably going to call it a day now considering how many are there.

I'd like to keep going but I just don't know where to find them.

Also this is exactly why the card industry has gone down the poop shoot. Companies produce way too many cards and the value shrinks like your peewee in water.

At least I got both Robinson rookies.

Yeah - sorry, I haven't had much time to set up all of the features in my profile.

Where do you purchase most of your cards from? Just got them out of packs over the years?

Most of the base cards I pulled from packs. Everything else was mostly going to local card shows or shops and a little bit from the internet. And it helps to be lucky sometimes.

As for now, there's a descent selection and pricing at beckett.com. And of course, there's ebay.

Exactly. This is why I stopped completely about 2 years ago. It was just getting too confusing to keep everything straight. That and the card companies' greed by driving up prices by limiting the print run on the products.

Anyways, most of Timmy's cards from his rookie year have nice appeal and have held their value fairly well.

Upper Deck ruined it all.

The card market has blown out of proportions with all the insert sets that have been introduced... cards were awesome back in the 90s...

With that being said I still love cards... I collect David Robinson cards... I have majority of them from '89 to 2000. Currently filling in the blanks..

I'm also collecting Duncan rookies (commons only, no subsets).. I've got most of them (I'm actually collecting 3 of each) but a few are too expensive to get...

What?? TD cards have maintained their value quite well due to his success with les and awards....

That sucks. At least you it wasn't an early 50's collection. I'd kill if I had a '52 Mantle and someone lost it.
