I started off pulling for the underdogs but I will say that this US team is behaving in way that can make you proud instead of acting like a bunch of prima donas. They have won me over.
Actually, the US has been far more effective at stamping out freedom than the old Soviet Union ever was. In South America, Chile (Allende) could attest to that. In Central America, it did not pay to promote liberty over the interests of United Fruit or Dole. The US would see to it that you got whacked. One could go on and on.

I will root for whoever I want. I can't pull myself to root for the US in this game because of guys like Kobe, LeBron, Chris Paul, and D-Wade. Its a sport and I think its stupid to call people un-American or whatever because they don't cheer for them in a certain sport. Its pretty dumb.
I have cheered for the Americans pretty much in every sport this Olympics, but I can't seem do it in basketball. If the Americans win today and they probably will, I won't be upset.
