my dl is a lot faster now but my ping sucks now

I ran mine while I have bit-torrent running on the same laptop that's hook up wireless and my brother is playing some mmorpg on his pc.

I average about that on my laptop wired or wireless, My PS3 averages about 15000 down but my brothers pc averages over 30000+ down.

We both have Vista and firefox. I wonder why his does better and why is it more than 15000. My isp speed is 15 down and 2 up.

OK after looking online I think my brothers pc is power boosting and mine does not and that's why he gets 30000+ down it does it in like 2 secs. My laptop and PS3 are not getting it so it showing my isp rated speed of about 15 down and 2 up.

This is OT but can I ask which service plan you're on? I currently live in Vegas and we're thinking of switching to COX from Embarq, would you recommend it?

my connection sucks, it starts decreasing slowly throughout the day till around 9 pm when it's at it's lowest i can't even run World of Warcraft. Oh and I have road runner with turbo or w/e the is called.

I would reccomend cox but they do have a cap, not sure what it is.

No, that's just slow ADSL. I don't think dial-up can reach that.
The sad thing is that there aren't many faster options here. There are a few with better speed, but they're expensive and they may have things like traffic shaping and limited amount of GBs downloaded per month.

max i get is 3,000 and 256 upload for about $75. But I can't complain, it's not the usa

Small city in south of Brazil.
Well it's not that bad, it's only a problem to download big files.
