First he gives away his gold medal, now this...WTF is going on with J Kidd
http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/fir...ry/view/11159/
Is Jason Kidd next? OK, he'll still play for the Dallas Mavericks this season, but the footwear he'll sport no longer will have the Swoosh. Before making his trip back to the U.S. after the Beijing Games, Kidd announced he will wear shoes made by Peak, a Chinese company, and ditch Nike. The timing on Kidd's departure is interesting, because the market in the U.S. has been flooded recently with many of his old retro classics. Kidd also spent a brief time sporting Jordans in his career.
Kidd isn't Peak's first U.S. acquisition. If you visit the Peak Web site, you'll notice another familiar face: Shane Battier. Not to hate on Peak and sound like a total Nike homer, but from a design standpoint, these shoes are variants. A few are just poorly masked copies of sneakers offered by AND1 and adidas.
For more on Kidd's breakup with Nike, visit Kenlu.net (if you can read Chinese or just want to see pictures of the new shoes).

those chinese companies are spewing out the same bs fugly ass designs like that of the starbury brand. both companies need to overhaul their personnel and get some young blood in there to keep up with the fresh designs coming from their compe ors like nike/adidas.
shoes.
do you have any actual experience with them?
one last money grab since hes probobly got 1 or 2 years left.
Good. I dropped $130 on a pair of his signature Zoom Flight 5's and they suck ing ass. I only wore them one time and I still have the scars from where they ripped away my ankle flesh.
so far my vcIVs were the best ever... coming in close was my ljIIs.
A casino owners wife. i think Wynn
What the ?!
just bought hyperdunks for 149.99 but havent balled in em yet but my jordan 1s are alright for ball
I didn't even know Battier stopped sporting the oakleys
Not like he earned the medal anyways, being the worst player on the team.
true dat
they needed a white player on the team tho
Not only the shoes, but also the logo and most of their clothes look like a cheap imitation of adidas.
The chinese are trying everything to market themselves as global companies, just like Li Ning, however they still only sell in China. It's a weird marketing design, they try to convince the Chinese (the biggest market in the world obviously) that they are in fact global powers, so that they don't feel ashamed of buying their products instead of the "western" Nike/adidas/puma.
I haven't worn Peak, but I had a friend tell me that Li Ning shoes were ok but nothing great.
For my money though, I still think adidas is the premier company in the world when it comes to quality (experience from basketball and soccer). However they are usually a bit more pricy, and nike is just better at marketing, which makes adidas the second best in the world right now. But for me, if I have the money, I always go for adidas.
Adidas>nike
I recently ordered some CP3s for 75 bucks
havent balled in them yet
I thought J-Kidd's shoes sucked, but I generally like Nike shoes. In 2004 the Air Max line was just beyond reproach, the 2k4 Huarache was a classic and on first impression the Hyperdunk looks like the best shoe in years.
Kidds not white, he halfsies
I was surprised at how bad Jason Kidd looked during the Olympics. Outside of Michael Redd he was probably the worst player on our team.
Really makes you wonder WTF Dallas was thinking.......
