Honestly, without getting everyone riled up as to what side you are on, isn't lack of experience something of a virtue at this point? I mean it's the career politicians that are the people most out of touch with reality in middle class America- wouldn't someone that spent time around middle class people be better than someone who has spent their time passing laws and learning the system?

I'm truly undecided right now, but I see al these McCain ads and all he attacks is Obama's lack of experience- but I see that as a strength in my eyes and wondered if anyone else felt like that. I've always wished that they could just get some regular guy, who was well educated, capable of making decisions and Independent among all issues, as our President- I think that would be better than some guy that learned how to be a politician. I mean this country is set up as such that everyone has a shot at government, and it would probably be better off if these crooked career politicians were out of their offices, but if anyone ran against them, they would make the public aware and fearful of their lack of experience. I'm rambling now, but am I the only one who see it like this?

Experience counts but I don't see it as the critical point of any candidate. Too much experience can lead to doing things the say way due to that experience. The world is a never changing place. There are other aspects to consider than just how much experience one has.

He was in charge of a lage number or soldiers for some time while he still served. He did other high profile jobs. He has executive experience.

I don't know much about the Rangers, but if a Rangers fan could answer this. I'm assuming if his career in baseball is anything like his career in politics, he probably traded away all the young prospects and killed (not literally (this isn't exactly like his politics)) the farm system

and that equates to being a good president?

Hugh Hefner and Larry Flint have run successful businesses, are they experienced enough?

"None of my committee members are up for trade. Our (presidential) team is clicking on all cylinders, and I know how trades can turn out. I'm the one who traded Sammy Sosa to the Chicago White Sox!"

    That's a good question....

"Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

Please show me where I indicated that. I don't like his politics. I was specifically stating experience and qualification. Not good or bad!

Hugh Hefner and Larry Flint have run successful businesses, are they experienced enough?
Yes, they have executive experience. Either of them would know what to do with the presidency better than Nobama!

    It's a non-issue for me.

I don't think any job prepares you to be the President, save maybe VP.

Maybe Bill Clinton and John Edwards could have a cabinet post in that kind of administration.

Would being a Muslim necessarily make you unqualified?

I know, but it's ridiculous for these idiots to call someone a Muslim as if it's should necessarily carry a negative connotation. It's only a smear because people are morons.
