But obviously you do. You support The Messiah. Who derives his power
from rays above. Hope and change, along with a little neighborhood organizing along the way.

I have a question for you Mr. Body. Why do neighborhoods need organizing? Were they un-organized before The Messiah came along?
And are they now un-organized again since he left the hood?
Dan you and boutons are free to explain this to me, if you like.
Nobody thinks Obama is the Messiah. That's a right-wing talking point.

As usual you guys focus on your own failures - and here you reflect your adoration of ZombieReagan and the incredible, almost sexual devotion you had for George W. Bush.

It makes sense that some background things would only come out after the nomination. Since the McCain camp was so intent on keeping this off the grid until the announcement, they couldn't exactly ask too many questions of too many people without word leaking early. Only time will tell which rumors are true and which aren't. Secrets live in shadows and dark corners and only come out when exposed to bright lights.

I'm not Mr. Body, but let's not let a little "Pea" stand in the way. The idea behind community organizing is that certain segments of the population get drowned out or underrepresented during discussions and decision-making by civic or state leaders. The purpose of community organizing is to pull the resources of the community together and provide a representative voice in discussions that affect that particular community.

For example, during Obama's time as community organizer, the City of Chicago was hiring companies to inspect and remove asbestos from vacant commercial property in an attempt to at revitalization, but hadn't checked the surrounding low-income apartment buildings to see whether they had a problem with asbestos as well. Obama organized a campaign that eventually got the city to inspect the apartment buildings and remove the asbestos they contained.

See you just haven't opened your mind to the accomplishments of the chosen one. I just saw the "Obama Revealed" biography on CNN last night. I bet you didn't know that the city of Chicago was going to remove asbestos from managment offices of some projects but the Messiah in all his wisdom stood up and said "Hey there is asbestos in the apartments too! The city should also remove that!". Only a few years later, the asbestos was removed. No one on the planet except for the great messiah could have pulled that off. It is clearly change we can believe in.

True, lots of people could have "pulled it off". The catch is, lots of people didn't give a , so they wouldn't have volunteered their time and effort to do so.

But the question really is: Was the asbestos removed by one of Rezko's companies? An inquiring mind wants to know. Or was it one of Daly's bunch.

All this love for Palin just shows how much the Right hates their candidate, John McCain, and wants someone else.

That's true. And I knew I hadn't, but the day wouldn't be complete without a little fuss with you.....

Going to see how the Hurricane is doing. I am starting a rumor that Obama is out in the gulf doing his Messiah thing to save New Orleans.
He didn't need a boat. He walked out there. But Rev. Wright is having a little trouble treading water. Some Catholic priest keeps pulling him under.

    Reality imitating satire

McCain flew down to Mississippi with his running mate Sarah Palin on Sunday to check on preparations for the deadly storm, and said he would use the convention to marshall support for likely victims of the hurricane.

"We must redirect our efforts from the really celebratory event of the nomination of president and vice president of our party to acting as all Americans," he said after touring Mississippi's emergency operations center.
Evidently, the McCain campaign is using Gustav as a training ground for Palin.

Obama's Altgeld Gardens account also omits the work of Johnson.

She was already widely known for her pioneering work in pushing officials to investigate environmental hazards at local industrial sites. Spurred by her husband's premature death from lung cancer, Johnson had begun do enting the health complaints of Altgeld residents in the late 1970s. Johnson formed a group called People for Community Recovery and tried to cajole scientists to study possible links between the ailments that residents reported to her and the harmful substances around their community.

One of those scientists, Regnal Jones, visited Johnson in the early 1980s and recalls sitting in her kitchen as she laid out hundreds of index cards listing the illnesses throughout Altgeld. He said he was "blown away" by Johnson's survey.

During that visit, Jones said, he inspected Johnson's apartment and concluded that her heating pipes were insulated with asbestos.

From that point on, Johnson says, she included asbestos in her complaints to government officials.

As Obama became involved in the asbestos issue, Johnson was among those who worked with him.

One more person does not equal "lots of people". The point is if "lots of people" gave a , there wouldn't be a need for organizers and volunteers to begin with.

Nobody thinks Obama is the Messiah. That's a right-wing talking point.
We use such terms because of his lack of specific message, yet he is a magnet.

    CHANGE!

No specifics, just the same promises to be broken that demonrats always make, yet people flock around him as if he was the living Christ!

As usual you guys focus on your own failures - and here you reflect your adoration of ZombieReagan and the incredible, almost sexual devotion you had for George W. Bush.
    LOL...

There are real reasons to like president Reagan. Not so many for president Bush. President Bush isn't trated like a diety at all.

    Are you an Obambie?
