Gracias! BTW, Texas has taken most of the evacuees so far.
Keep in mind that most of this area is not even 10ft above sea level and with those marshes gone this surge can penetrate a really long distance inland.
De nada senorita...
I think Texas did last time as well
I was at a McDonald's returning a red box dvd, and a guy came up asking for money to eat claiming to be from LA having been chase out because of the storm.
I didn't have anything on me as I was just returning a dvd but I was skeptical of his story.
I'm doubting that, too... every damn Transguide sign yesterday and today had directions to Port SA and there weren't that many people so far tonight.
That is pretty sad if someone is claiming they are from LA and they are not just to get some money...
it isn't surprising though.
Besides American Red Cross and Shelter Volunteers WILL make sure any evacees will have a meal.
Amongst all the good that humanity has to share, offer and help....the ugly side of humanity comes out to diminish all that has been and will be achieved.
:soapbox
I hate when people try to take advantage of a terrible situation.
The Houma webcam actually has someone on right now...
Thanks for the updates Manny![]()
