First, he wanted Lieberman as VP, but the Repug conservatives said no, so McPuppet went with a nasty little package from Alaska with a lot of nasty history in a very short public career and who will probably be scuttled into resigning.

Then, the Repug platform writers snooker McFool by writing in that ALL embryonic research, private as well as public, be criminalized, but "McCain has twice voted to loosen restrictions on federal funding of the work."

This McJoker guy says he can win wars, but he can't even win his own party, which doesn't really have any enthusiasm for him.

McSame will be the SAME kind of weak, confused, out-of-his-depth fool that dubya is, with the WH overrun by insane ideologues and compromised lobbyists and lawyers.

Hey boutons, were you just born yesterday? Carter couldn't even solve double-digit inflation, massive interest rates and a botched rescue mission into Iran. LBJ didn't have the will to win in Vietnam and ran up huge spending increases during the Great Society and failed to control riots in Watts, Detroit and Newark. The fault I have against Bush is that he tried to please the liberals with massive social spending increases such as the Perscription drug benefit and ended up pleasing no one. Now Obama is channeling FDR and LBJ all over again to bring us to the promise land. Yes, government will take care of you.

That's exactly what Boutons wants. His mommy and daddy are getting tired of taking care of him and are going to kick him out, so he wants the government to take care of him.

The latter solved the former. Carter's appointee to the fed did it.

Not until after Carter left office. The funny thing is, those actions cause a recession in 1982 which the Demcorats blamed on Reagan and used it as a talking point to increase their majority in the House that fall. Carter did absolutely nothing but increase government through the creation of the Departments of Education and Energy.

    Oh noes! Politicians played politics.

Government spending and deficits and debt increased much more during the Reagan years.

That's right. The double digit inflation played havok on the interest on the national debt that Reagan inherited! Remember the five year bonds that had a garentee doubling in five years?

No. You are too young, aren't you.

Sure, there were other factor. Can you deny what compound interest does when the interest rate is in the double digits?

I acknowledge it was part of the debt increase.

Debt/GDP went down under Carter. Like it does under every Democrat.

So... for Reagan, um... when you have double digit inflation why are you cutting taxes and pushing spending through the roof?
