It would have been a problem, but the church was near the Russian border. So while Palin was hating the Jews, she was also getting foreign policy experience. It was a win-win situation.

Also, that view is probably not that far outside of the mainstream in many fundamentalist denominations. God's wrath and all of that.

I agree. Proper patriotism procedure requires that you secede from the US before damning it. Palin did it in the correct order. Wright did not.
