Gotta give her props on that crack on Change... that was her best line of the night so far.
I'm about as objective as they come. I've voted Republican the past 8 years, and have just started to lean more towards the middle.
I was hoping for Palin to come out with a great introductory speech, but I'm very very dissapointed. She's picked it up a bit here towards the end, but a lot of what she is saying is just not making any sense.

I think we will see a nice bump in the polls for McCain/Palin...
Remember, something like 80% of the people agree with getting more energy rather than what the democrats plan. In fact, i see a growing possibility of the democrats losing many seats in the house and senate just over the energy issue.
This speech won't bring in many outside of the base. She's hasn't said anything that we haven't heard 100 times before.

Rudy did a fine job, best speech of the night. He knocked Obama off of the political pedestal he put himself on and put him in the political highchair he belongs in. Best speech of the convention.
It's only natural for Obamanites and lefties to take exception to that.

At the beginning I did but she is coming through like a true champ.
From the middle it wan't so great. It was a red meat speech. I still haven't heard anything but danger, raising taxes, hockey moms, and pipe laying.
Mature take, sounds like an excerpt from an arguement between a couple of 4 year old kids.

I found her so damn annoying I had to turn it off. She literally gave me a headache.
I used to work for the guy. I think I have more of a take on him than you'll ever know.

I think she did good. I think the campaign overplayed the attack dog angle with her. It's hard to feel sympathy for an attack dog.
Did anyone know that John McCain was POW? WTF, I haven't heard this.
Anyway, I was wholly unimpressed with her. She hit the bullet points, she stirred the pot and overused sarcasm.
Sarcasm is funny in this forum, not on the national stage.
But really, I just found the speech bland and underwhelming. Go ahead and label me a liberal.
BTW, was it just me or was there lik a grand total of 500 people there? Empty house, for sure.
She did okay, but I was hoping for more.
