I am a MILF and a mom and I do not identify with her at all.

I found her to be highly sarcastic and I can not stand that. I would not tolerate it in my child and I surely do not want it in my leaders.

I used my wife as a barometer for Palin's speech. My wife is not too in to politics, but she has decent instincts. When I was a Deaniac in 2004, she kept telling me that Kerry would get the nomination. Then during the general election, she kept telling me that Bush would win. This election, she likes Obama (then again I'm constantly taking him up), but is intrigued by Palin and remarked that she could see herself voting for someone like Palin.

On Palin's speech -she enjoyed the biographical part of the speech and kept commenting on the family during the cutaways. She enjoyed Palin talking up McCain. She did not, however, like the sarcasm and aggressive tone Palin displayed. By the end of the speech, she said that Palin was "different than she thought she'd be" and "too sarcastic."

Again, not a very political person, just a casual observer's take.

Nice stuff but honestly, Republicans can't help themselves but sound arrogant and aggressive, especially at a made-for-TV event like the GOP convention...

I was expecting something more along the lines of the speech she gave when McCain first introduced her, which was very positive.

The GOP screwed the pooch by sticking to the "VP=attack dog" plan for her speech. I was expecting a home run, but this was just red meat with a bio salad.
