Well you got that right. There are more liberals here than anywhere in the USA with the possible exception of San Francisco. I'm not a republican though. I'm an independent. I actually voted for Al Gore believe it or not.
Are you surprised?
McCain hit it out of the park, allright:

It means he's outnumbered and his vote is wasted. Just like mine in Texas.
Dear Republicans,
Don't make signs if you can't spell a simple word like maverick, or if you can't even spell the name of the country you live in.
See? The miracle of my powers in "paint" are awesome.
Best pain ever dude. I don't care what you call an annular storm, that ing ruled.
Penis = McCain
Damn, McCain's speech was weak for the first 50 or so minutes. He eventually stopped stumbling over himself near the end.
Then again, most should have known going into it that McCain makes Bush seem like Obama when it comes to giving a speech.
Sorry got in late, Just heard McCain was a POW. Did you guys know that?
John McCain was a POW, and Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.
John Kerry reporting for duty was maudlin horse , but John McCain was poignant and resonant. John in' McCain! He's a in' Maverick!
I thot his '04 speech was much more effective.
Fixed.
Issues like...
We're winning in Iraq and the surge worked are so true- ok no!
I do wish the dems would ask where that missing 100 million is from the Iraq Reconstruction Fund and why there are more contractors than troops, but it seems like both candidates are going to continue this Iraq scam built on lies.
McCain was as effective at keeping me awake as the Redskins offense tonight.
I'm too dumb to know what the butt of that joke is.
A McCain supporter had poster with Maverick spelled incorrectly.
atleast he mentioned heath care did obama NO
Ah. You know, now that you mentioned it, something my viewing companion said earlier makes more sense now. I stopped paying attention about 25 minutes in, it was so bad.
He fixed your east coast liberal elite spelling of "Maverick" to the wholesome, conservative heartland spelling of "Mavrick"
I thought McCain did exactly what he needed to do tonight....
He stayed "above the fray" and kept the message positive. He told the POW story not in a self-indulgent way, but as a frame who he is...as a leader and a person.
He reached out to independents and democrats and re-established himself as the reforming maverick of the party.
He even gave the people inside the stadium a few reasons to get up out of their chairs and cheer loudly...especially at the end.
Definitely a home run for McCain.
Also not mentioned: funding for spelling, grammar and punctuation programs.
