and he might also be dumber than a post.
College eduation just proves you went to school for 4,6,8 years more than than anyone else.
Many of those "more" educated people are not actually that intelligent, they're just elitists.
W has degrees from Harvard and Yale...a degree doesn't make you smart. In fact I think Harvard and Yale are where rich idiots go to get their degrees to prove they aren't idiots.

It's certainly funny to see some of you right wingers constantly trying to bring up Obama, and his supposedly nonsensical, inaccurate or plain impossible policy proposals, instead of underlining the intelligent, constructive and well crafted policy proposals by McCain. To an outsider, it certainly reads like:
- You are most likely a partisan hack
- McCain has basically no policy proposals to speak of (not that Obama is any different)
- It's a sorry attempt to make it seem like one candidate is 'even worse' than the other (making it pretty much implicit that the other one is pretty horrible already)
Sometimes some people think that because one candidate's policy is bad/terrible/impossible the other candidate policy is automatically better/good/best. And that's not necessarily the case at all.
It's like boutoun's trying to defend Obama by bringing up one of the McSame rants we're used to see around here.
Elitist is the new thermite.
Timvp speaks the truth...
Bill Gates had no college education when he founded Microsoft....and neither did Michael Dell when he founded Dell. I think Steve Case and Steve Jobs were dropouts too..
College is a good place to go to learn , or sometimes to break into a field where a degree is required, but it doesn't make you more intelligent than someone who hasn't gone to college.
Ya know I love that, the Democrats talk about the superiority in having a college education, how your only smart if you have been to college, you bring up Bush going and then they quickly drop "Well that doesn't mean anything"

the government doesn't bail people with student loans...go back to school
Most college educated people don't get into Harvard or Yale because of legacy - DUH!Ya know I love that, the Democrats talk about the superiority in having a college education, how your only smart if you have been to college, you bring up Bush going and then they quickly drop "Well that doesn't mean anything"
my candiate did not make it
the lesser of the 2 evils are mccain by a landfill
how many times do you hear the story about "Einstein didn't get more than a 3rd grade eduation"
Ah of course.
You get in on just name.
Classic...
College is a great way to develop social skills more than anything. The friendships you make in college, the experiences you have in college, last you the rest of your life if the experiences don't kill you! I know my college friends made me pretty much forget the old high school buddies for the most part.
oh wait they have student loans so they sign a interest free loan on their horse
then expect the goverment to bail them out when interest rates go up
big gov is suppose to take care of me they think
I can not take care of myself
There are idiots everywhere. Education doesn't define intelligence to me. You can have a handful of degrees but not be the sharpest tool in the shed, or not have any college degree and be a genius. Being booksmart isn't the only thing that's important anyway. I prefer the person has a balance of booksmarts, streetsmarts and the savvy to put their knowledge to work.
And BTW, College is also liberal brainwashing...so you could say it makes you stupider. I'd say it takes some people decades to get over the stupidity hammered into their skulls in college.
The fact that old people are overwhelmingly conservative, and that people get more conservative the older they get, kinda of hammers this point home.
Case in point:
Remember all those Supersmart hippies that were dropping all that Acid and doing coke and smack back in the sixties? You know...the guys that were enlightening themselves with altered perception and saw throught he sham of the Vietnam War? How many of them are still doing that ...living that lifestyle?
Yeah they were real smart.
W barely passed his courses and it's obvious his daddy had a hand in it. "C" average... by the grace of daddy's money.
Obama was from a relatively poor family. He EARNED his way into Harvard and instructed at the University of Chicago, the latter of which is not well known but has always been one of the top 10 universities in the country. It's not a status-university, and if you don't know your there they will kick you out instantly.
Oh and timvp's brother just graduated from Yale ... and he's very smart (and there is no Yale legacy in the family).
Of course of course.
This would be the first time I ever heard that.
Depends on how you decide to educate yourself.....you want a dime a dozen business degree? Psychology? Or a profitable science degree?
Apparently, he just got stupider.
My condolences.
