I'm going to answer this one together. I must say I'm surprised a spurs fan would make a comment like that but I am not surprised a nuggets fan would make one because he is from somewhere that doesn't have a clue how championships are won. It takes a team to win a le. A collection of all stars is not a way to win a championships. If that were the case teams like the lakers of 04 would have not had any problems winning the le. Those players that you mention did not win the gold the previous seasons so that should tell you that just because those player were on the team that it did not ensure a le. All championship teams had role players and a couple of great players on the team. It is true that Kobe played with a group of stars but he played with a group of stars who failed at their attempt to win the gold. Kobe was the difference with that team and without him they do not win the gold. Just like it was with the Lakers team that won the le 3 years in a row. He did win a le without Shaq and it was a big win for Mamba.
