So you two are guest blogging this week and me and someone else the next?
Well basically I was going to write about the Future of MMA brock, about his collegiate wrestling background, his sucessfull career in the WWE, his stint as a Minnesota Viking (if you can call it that), then onto his first 3 MMA fights which were very impressive minus the loss the MIR (even though he dominated). You can still talk about the weight of the fight between Brock, Randy, and Fedor. Im only going to touch on the Randy fight in the closing sentence of my write up.
Alright i finished up my rough draft of my Blog Entry. I changed it up a bit. I mainly talked about Randy and how much longer he can defy the odds given his age. Talked about Brock and what he brings to the table but left most of his background stuff out of it so you can take that angle. I'll send it to Kori after i clean it up sometime tomorrow.

Don't worry...250 words is nothing and just write like you're doing a regular post.

Machida can't be that much more boring than Rashad. They are both the equivalent of counterpunchers in boxing. Great fighters, but not the most exciting lot.

The answer to the mystery that still disturbs me, three days later:

MMAjunkie gets the answers to the questions we've all been asking - namely, why the Greg Jackson's guys have been pinching their nipples before fights.

"Georges St. Pierre was the first do it, and it's just sort of an inside joke," Evans said.

Evans said St. Pierre had heard it was supposed to bring good luck -- according to some ancient fighting myths, anyway. And if there's anything the New Mexico-based Team Jackson group knows, it's unity. Led by famed fight strategist and head trainer Greg Jackson, the team has created a sense of brotherhood among team members Evans, St. Pierre, Keith Jardine, Nate Marquardt, Joey Villasenor and others.

"Georges said it was supposed to good luck or something, so I said, 'Cool, alright,'" Evans said, laughing.

at 155 he is in decent shape because he has to be thin to make weight. He has never been in great shape at 170. Last seen gassing out in the Hughes rematch. Have you seen him lately?? He has gotten very fat and out of shape in between fights again. GSP is one of the finest conditioned athletes in the sport. He is going to wear BJ out come Jan.
    We'll see...

He's a true LW. He doesn't have the typical WW frame so he's not going to look like a Fitch or GSP at 170 lbs.

Hamill’s trainer doesn’t know why he didn’t work for a takedown

    ]
"I told him after the fight that his performance was uncharacteristic and that he really needed to do some soul searching to see if this is really what he wants to do. He had absolutely no fighting spirit, no killer instinct. He looked like a s of himself and was just out there to get through it and that is very disconcerting.”

That is really harsh right there. Matt had never been in there before with a guy of Rich's caliber and experience. Matt does not have very many fights. Maybe he was a little gunshy because he and Rich are friends. Matt is a very nice, good guy by all accounts. I don't think this loss though will be the end of him. He is a lot of ability, he'll be back.

  23. #248
I think it is a lot for his trainer to tell him

"Do some soul searching about whether or not this is what you want to do" after that loss. I saw the fight, he tried but Rich was too versatile for him.

    ahhh shieyt

Umm I downloaded the main event of the ufc and I must say that Rashad was outscoring Liddell in the second and the first was won by Chuck slightly.
    So accept rashads win.

And damn - that is ty quality and not original comment. So I will try to wait for another, better version.
