In my experience, some people take a very different approach to posting (and talking), and I think that more than anything plays into it.

For example, Bob Dylan sounds like somewhat of an idiot in most of his interviews that I've read (prob because he's high lol or maybe not), yet he's the biggest musical genius of his era (IMO).

I knew a kid in High School who was a genius, and didn't talk any better than the average person.

Some people, I guess, are just more flamboyant than others when it comes to their intelligence.

For example: "FWD is 100 times smarter than PM5K."

Or: "I think if PM5K wasn't such an idiot he'd make the list."

Or:"I talked to PM5K once and I think he might be smart, or he could be a total moron, I'm not sure"

Everyone is intelligent in their own way. FWDT/Timvp are human beings that makes mistakes just like everyone else. Threads like this are hard to make sense of because it seems like an ass tasting thread putting people on a pedestal while belittling everyone else.

Whoever can determine a person's intelligence level from anonymous posts is undoubtedly the most brilliant person in this hole.

Clearly not a perfect way to determine intelligence, but I'm willing to bet the once I mentioned have a pretty high IQ.

i would agree, but i can't imagine a Van Hagar fan being truly intelligent. Other than that, he appears to have no other faults though.

If you think you're fairly smart and/or educated there is a battery of tests that you might want to try.

Extra Stout pretty much beat the pants off anybody who posted scores from their tests.

Not definitive, but certainly more objective...

I eventually took all the rest of those tests, but only posted my scores at a different board. I scored quite atrociously on a couple of them.
