You can put whip cream on an onion, but it still tastes like an onion.
If I get a single email about this I'm voting for Obama. This is quite possibly the single most ludicrous stretch I've ever seen in my short history of following politics.
You can put whip cream on an onion, but it still tastes like an onion.
It's like my IPOD comparison, people are fascinated with Palin because she's new and people don't know her track record, except for what has been spun by the M$M spin-meisters, just like Obama at first, but soon all the gory little details come out, like her and her hubby's association to a Alaskan freedom party and her belief that abortion shouldn't be available for any woman, even in cases of incest or rape, or her obsessive views on the ties between religion and politics, of which Bush is her role model....unfortunately for the GOP, we still have plenty of time for women to flip-flop again...
let's see, Palin draws a comparison between herself and a pitbull with the only difference being lipstick. Now Obama draws the comparison, but this time calling her a pig.
Maybe he didn't mean to call her a pig in the literally sense, but that's exactly what he said.
it! It probably won't happen, but I figure if these stupid women elect McCain based on some kind of ed up reverse sexism, they'll get exactly what they deserve. We'll see how much those vindictive and die hard Hillary supporters regret their decision when McCain gets a supreme court nominee and then overturns roe/wade.
(Not to even mention his victory will probably result in the tiest presidency ever besides Bush's and possibly the first stages of the apocalypse)
Palin's latest intro song (since Heart tried to sue over her use of their song)
Classic manufactured outrage.
I think that Obama did not mean to call Palin a pig. That is just a sideshow. I still pay attention to his bad policies though. "People making over $200,000 should do the patriotic thing and pay higher taxes." way to incite wealth envy Obama!!
"Now Obama draws the comparison, but this time calling her a pig."
Nobody called Palin a pig. That's the lie McSame and his fear-and-smear team are pushing, but it's just another lie.
All he's saying is that we should go back to the Clinton year tax levels, removing George Bush's irresponsible tax cuts for the rich. And all that money is going towards good things.
And nobody here makes over $200,000 so it's all a moot point.
It's never good to post in absolutes...And nobody here makes over $200,000 so it's all a moot point.
, McCain is running the Seinfeld campaign: the campaign about nothing.
You can't be serious. Did you watch the video?
...even his own camp can't keep this story straight...
ABC NewsAsked why she was so confident Obama was "comparing" Palin to a pig, she said Palin was the only one of the four candidates on both parties' tickets who wears lipstick.
"She is the only one of the four candidates for president, or the only vice presidential candidate who wears lipstick," Swift said. "I mean, it seemed to me a very gendered comment."
But, Swift added, if "as part of his apology Sen. Obama wants to say, no, he was calling Sen. McCain -- who is a true hero in our country -- a pig, then I suppose we could wait en masse for an apology to that, as well."
It was pointed out to Swift that, after the line about the pig, Obama had said, "You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called 'change,' it's still gonna stink after eight years."
Swift then suggested that Obama was calling McCain a fish.
How do you "try" to sue someone?
Seriously WTF is McCain even doing? He has sunk below even Bush levels with his latest attacks. What a joke, I used to actually respect the guy too.
Didn't McCain use the same line to describe Hillary's position on health care?
What attacks?
The attacks on reason and the public's intelligence via his campaign's fake outrage.
I believe so. But, there wasn't already a "lipstick" reference hanging out there.
Look, I'm not going to claim Obama was tying the two together. I'm just saying that many in his audience -- and many more across the nation -- did.
It was a stupid idiom to use today. Oh well.
After the way he tried to protect his friend Keating when he stole $3 billion from taxpayers? McCain, the guy's a classic Washington bag.
Are you suggesting the Obama campaign wouldn't exploit a similar gaffe if made by McCain?
No, and if they did I would be equally insulted. But they haven't yet. Nothing this ridiculous. This is a new low.
You don't have to tie the two together because just throwing it out there is enough.
Heart didn't "try to sue" anybody for using the song. They just sent a cease and dissist order. And from what I understand, one of the guys who co-wrote the song was thrilled that she used it.
