    Biden bows to Clinton

Biden, today in Nashua, NH, in response to an inaudible question from an audience member:

“Make no mistake about it Hillary Clinton is as qualified as or more qualified than I am” to be vice president, Biden said. “And quite frankly, she may have been a better pick than me.”

UPDATE: Politico's Victoria McGrane points out that his remark came in response to a question from a man saying he was glad Obama had chosen Biden over Clinton; Biden was rising to her defense.

Even Biden is saying he was a ed up pick.

And you guys were saying Palin would be the one who couldn't handle it.

Biden never said he was a ed up pick and you also know damn well that there were other republican candidates who were much more qualified than Palin. But there is no doubt that she was the better pick, not better qualified and again I'm telling you that Hillary was NOT chosen due to the backlash that would have occured from the right but that being said and hindsight being 20/20, yes, Hillary would have been the right pick. Who would have guessed that McCain would pick a female VP?
If McCain would have picked Palin ahead of Obama I'm pretty sure Hillary would have been picked by Obama.
    But I'm only guessing.

You know I don't really agree with you that there were better candidates than Palin...I like her, I like her more than anyone else in this election. I think she is the most competent one on either side.

On the surface she may seem like a token pick...but once you look at her record, her gender stops mattering...she's impressive, I don't care how the you look at it.

    Her record?

Of being a self serving Alaskan?

For s sake, Jesse Ventura was a Governor, a pretty popular at that.

For s sake some more, California's Governor is... oh yeah.

Would you SERIOUSLY want either of those two on a ticket as VP?

Ah... ignore the question, I see.

Don't worry, I can quote it so this time you do see it and don't forget to respond.

Ya think, Joe? Everyone on both sides is trying to figure out what, exactly, you brought to the ticket.

Keeping Biden out of the limelight was a calculated move by the Obama campaign. Why throw him out there and let the R's make up more false lies and rumors with their swiftboat tactics? His credibility could be diminished before the debates, not a good thing at all.

They are doing the same thing with him that Bush did with Cheney. Keep your VP out of the public eye and then let them obliterate their opponents in the debates and swing momentum back your way for the final push.

Obama is smarter than the R's. He knows their tactics and is using them against them.
