It wasnt the best, but every now and then I had a taste for it. Kind of like McDonalds fries.
The LJS closed on Bandera, close to where I live. Where is the location you saw that closed?

It's fish when you can't afford good fish....
I liked LJS's.
Just right for me.
Maybe once a year I'd get a hankerin for their clam strips, but nothing else. No big loss to me.
I hope I get a chance to use my coupons!

That is dirty. I haven't eaten there since I was a kid, because the last two times I did eat at Long John Silvers, I puked my ing guts out (2 different locations too).
we have the A&W / LJS out here in New Braunfels. Its not too bad but when I was a kid I used to love those crunchies that was left over

You'd be surprised how many places are "dirty" you just don't know it.

i havent been there in probably a decade... but everytime id see somebody eat it id say to myself "you shoul go try it again"... but id forget and i never really had any.
their fried fish just look too much like armored tanks for my tastes.
Never had it.
I used to love Freds Fish Fry but I haven't had it in 20 years !
I always wonder how those places are still in business when everytime I pass by one of them, they have no customers...

Still, LJS is the only one I've been to where my stomach knew it.
Now there would be a place to go for a $3000 sushi dinner!
