Shaq Numbers His Days In The NBA
ORLANDO -- In an exclusive interview, former Orlando Magic Center Shaquille O'Neal told News 13's Tiffany Greene Wednesday exactly how long it will be until he hangs up his high tops.
For some time, Shaq has hinted at retirement, but now has an exact number of days.
The 7-foot NBA legend, who now plays for the Phoenix Suns, but maintains a home in Central Florida, had a captive audience on Wednesday as he talked with the kids at the Pine Hills Boys and Girls Club.
He told Green that he intends to play out the remainder of his contract and then call it quits.
"My basketball career will be over in 735 days, and being an educated man, I've always had things to fall back on. So one of my options is law enforcement. But if Jerry Demings is going to be the sheriff I would love to work for him," O'Neal said.
O'Neal was once the top pick in the NBA Draft by the Magic, but he said his next life is in law enforcement.

Eh....basketball players don't enter the hall as a member of any team. Thats a baseball thing.

I will be sad the day Shaq retires though, the NBA will miss the greatest center of his generation.
I can honestly say that I won't miss this guy one bit. Although he was a great player, his antics grew old quick. The NBA will be fine without him.

Shaq can play for another 735 days, considering he'll only be playing about 40 games a year.
He lost "special duty badges," but doesn't mean he can't go into law enforcement after he retires. He was a "special duty" officer when was in Miami and didn't lose that badge.
Shaq's gonna ask criminals how his ass tastes. Better yet, I hope they make work undercover. Imagine him with a bad mustache and dreadlocks meeting some drug kingpin somewhere in Florida.

Shaq's had a great career no doubt. but i wont miss him one bit when he retires.
