Are people in SA boarding up and evacuating? the news only talks about Houston, and yeah, we're praying for you up here in Idaho
Keep us in your prayers and thoughts.
P.S.
Over the past 2 decades...Hurricanes hit the Texas coast in odd years. Sound familiar?

I don't pray much, but good luck with the whole not dying thing.
Consider it done. I've been following Ike closely and fear that it may do more damage than most people suspect. I will continue to keep the great state of Texas and all of the people there in my thoughts and prayers, always.
San Antonio is preparing for winds, heavy rains and flooding. SA is west of the major path projected, at this hour. With hurricanes like this, there is always going to be a chance that tornadoes can spin off from them.
San Antonio, as with other places around Texas and the gulf states, will serve as refuge for coastal residents.
Texas is always in my thoughts, and now in my prayers. Keep safe guys.

Also linked in the Club where discussions have been ongoing there regarding Ike since 9/01/08.

I feel like this storm is going to mess some serious up. In that picture it fits perfectly in the Gulf, I wonder how SA won't get hit with a storm that size?
Go get somewhere safe guys. Hopefully everything will be alright.
The Weather Channel reported earlier that Ike has a larger coverage area than Katrina did. The storm winds (hurricane force and tropical storm force) extend 275 miles (443 kilometers) from the center/eye. Katrina, although it had slightly higher wind speeds, extended 230 miles (370 kilometers) from the eye.
Will keep you in our prayers. Hope you guys will be safe.
I'm in Lufkin... I hope we're alright here.
Got family living in Texas and my prayers go out to all of you down there.
San Antonio has a flooding problem in certain areas if it gets heavy rains for a couple of days. But it is enough further inland where it won't get the worst of the hurricane as the coastal towns will.
stay safe guys!
Stay safe!![]()
It's just gloomy and light rain here in Philly...and to think we're all complaining about that here!![]()
Good luck to all of you especially ones living near the coast.
Riding this out in Houston, be safe everyone in it's path.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Houston & Galveston. Please don't try to tough it out by staying put. Get the heck out of there and live to smack another day.
I'm kind of wondering like the above poster how SA isn't going to get hit.
You guys are in my thoughts. Be safe not sorry.![]()
As much as everyone knocks Houston, I like Houston and consider it a second home. It getting hit by this hurricane saddens and concerns me to no end.
You guys in Houston be well and stay safe.
Good luck to all of ya'll. hope all your family members are come out fine as well.
Be safe Galveston and Houston. My prayers go out to you all and anyone else in the Texas area.
Be safe and don't be stupid! You'll be in our prayers!
