then i can turn the ac off for a while.
Hey Das, your the windpower guy,
whats the highest wind speed of one of the wind generators can sustain?
WEATHER NERD ON SCREEN!
that joz chick seems kinda hot.
Actually, I was in Alicia and the eye came right over my house...we got our ass kicked for hours and suddenly *bang* no wind, clear skies, and seagulls flying everywhere...It was about 4 in the afternoon...I could see the entire eye wall 360 degrees going up 40K feet and watched the south wall moving right towards us...walked around, checked out, and as it was about there went back inside, locked the door and told the SO and kid to get ready...it was about to hit us from the other side...about 30 seconds later *bam* 90 mph wind and rain from the west.
Did Geraldo write his SS# on his arm?
if i know.
winds get a bit severe in west texas. so i'd imagine at least 50 mph if not more.
i assume you are talking about windmills.
Well, it's Johnny's iPhone...
Badass. You get any pics?
Oh wait... Alicia was like 30 years ago, wasn't it?
I sent GG's Fro a PM about sending us pics for our Twitter.
Knowing that you made it out alright, that is really awesome.
What's the death toll going to be like in this thing?
Well your a wind power advocate so I assumed you were well versed on the subject
Yes Windmills, and I was wondering, if we ever pull our heads out of our butts and put more wind generators out in the windier parts of Texas, if they could survive something like this.
They still had cameras 30 years ago....
sense, Lufkin is going to be in big danger from tornadoes later.
20 thousand were staying in Galveston I think is what I heard.
Best case scenario, half live.
btw am i gonna actually see anything from this thing in my backyard and when?
Not digital ones though![]()
well hurricanes dont really come into west texas so its not really a factor that you would think about.
Not many, but these are some of the pics we've had from today.
