Obama will take NM. Bill Richardson is a very popular governor and is......a Democrat. That's all Obama needs to do, grab NM and CO and he wins. Keep the Kerry states add NM and CO and none of this matters.

McCain still has a hill to climb, he needs to pick off one of CO or NM........two states he is unlikely to grab. Or he needs to take PA, MI, WA.....again states he is not likely to grab.

I get the feeling the Democrats are holding back for the big push.

Probably waiting for this whole Palin thing to blow over and for the campaigns to focus on the top of the ticket once again. The GOP wants them to get in the mud and fight with Palin so they can keep the attention front and centered on her. Obama ain't fallin' for it. Smart man.

I just checked and some of those swing states haven't been updated yet. Like in NM and Ohio, and VA. The debates are going to decide this.

We're 10 days out of the GOP convention. It's not surprising McCain has gotten a bounce in national polls, but all of his increased support is coming from states in the south that he was going to win anyways.

If we were to hold the election today, 10 days after the GOP convention, of course McCain would barely win. But we hold it on the second tuesday in November, and the dynamics of the race favor Obama. The polls right now are contaminated by the two conventions and McCain's flashier VP pick. Let's wait to see if McCain can sustain those numbers. I have a hunch Palin is going to end up being political viagra, and she didn't do well in those interviews with Charlie Gibson. Doesn't matter what McCain or Obama supporters think of her and those interviews, just undecideds.

Like I've said before, all Obama needs is CO and NM.

NM - Bill Richardson is their governor (popular Democrat), VERY likely to go to Obama
CO - Democrats held their convention there, Obama has been leading this entire time, they hate McCain for trying to steal their water as a senator or some nonsense

Obama gets these two and it's all over. Nothing McCain does would even matter. He'd have to steal PA or MI, which is NOT going to happen. Just like Obama isn't going to steal VA or FL.

This is still Obama's race to lose, and we're not even two weeks out from the RNC. Obama has one way to go from here, up. This is how politics works, you don't blow your load all at once like McCain just did.

She didn't do well IN YOUR OPINION. Gibson was a bag and plenty of people saw Palin hold her own without sounding like a stumbling obama idiot uh uh uh uh.

lmfao, and Obama hasn't blown his load yet?

His weaksauce celebrity cult attraction has worn out and people see him for the empty suit he is.

Gibson fed her fourth-grade questions and she couldn't answer them. I'm afraid undecideds are going to be closer to my opinion than yours. And you're blind if you think Obama is inarticulate and can't do anything more than robotically blurt out talking points to try and fit the questions he's being asked.
