Your mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, husband, or whoever is your most significant loved one is drowning and so is a baby. You cannot save both and know you can only save one. Nobody else is around to save the other. Which one are you saving? Why??
I will be a to someone which ever route I choose so I will have to say this is something I can't answer unless I'm put into that position which will hopefully be never.
Also why is the baby alone? I would drown the parents when everything is said and done.
Is it just some random stranger's baby?
Why couldn't I save both? Am I missing any limbs?

well, as pointless as this hypothetical scenario is, I'd still have to say I would save my loved one and I wouldn't think twice about it.

I agree, your loved one has more value to you. It sounds selfish, but in this scenario Altruism doesn't seem ideal.
