I just saw that the state of California by itself is the world's 3rd largest consumer of Oil, behind China and the rest of the United States.
Not only that, but 60% of their Oil comes from Saudi Arabia.
Not only that but they have 18 billion barrels of oil off their coast?
What in the ? These are the assholes that fly around in private jets lecturing on global warming and the evils of nuclear energy.

California, by itself, is the 10th largest economy in the world. Lots of people, lots of cars, and lot of agriculture (Ag is a huge consumer of petroleum), so I wouldn't be too surprised if what you say is true.

California can be pretty hypocritical sometimes; especially Los Angeles. There's way too many cars and the public transportation is a joke, although a lot of that has to do with cities like Santa Monica not wanting minorities able to just hop on a train from the city and be there in 30 minutes.
