Apparently the Star Spangled Banner is a holiday because he doesn't celebrate it. This is definitely the least significant of his off-court BS this offseason, but dammit can he just shut the up and get ready for the season?

Pretty shameful display by all the dumb s who couldn't shut off the ing camera and act like human beings long enough for the national anthem to play. Josh Howard is a dumbass, but not the biggest dumbass captured in that particular video IMO.

I can see why he doesn't "celebrate dat ." After all, what has living in the US done for him, other than let him get paid millions of dollars to play a game, live in a mansion, drive crazy expensive cars, have access to the best medical care for him and his family and loved ones and be financially secure for the rest of his life. To truly protest dat , he should just donate all his dirty US riches to people who try to make good decisions in their lives, who don't say "know wha I'm saying" and " " 5,000 times a day, and move his dumb ass to Haiti or Somalia, where he'll be able to keep it real, yo.
Yeah I don't care what his beliefs are, and there's no point in the national anthem being played before games. But considering everything that's already happened this offseason, could he not keep his effing trap shut? And what the is he doing playing in a football game? Trying to blow out a knee before the basketball season starts?

Think about how proud the people who run Wake Forest must be every time they see an interview or article about Tim Duncan.... and how embarrassed whenever the topic of Josh Howard comes up.
Sadly, and as dumb as Howard is he's not the only one disrespecting the National anthem by acting like an eight year-old in this video. I'm Canadian so I could really care less but when you have troops risking their lives so you can make 7 million a year to play basketball without having your horse teeth blown out, you should shut up and show a little class.

I've never stood up at the AAC or the Ballpark in Arlington (Cowboys games are too expensive), deep in the heart of red state Texas, and nobody has ever had the balls to say anything to me.I guess youre "too cool" to show respect, but you better pray youre not "sitting" next to me some day.
What is embarrassing about Josh Howard? Yeah, he's a knucklehead, but he has a degree from Wake Forest just like Tim does, and he is a good guy off the court. Timmy likes the reefah just as much as Josh does.
You're going too far with this. Disagree with the guy and let him know your opinion-- just as he let you know his opinion. But threatening a person who doesn't stand is even worse. You may not like his reasoning, but he still has the right to behave as he sees fit. American freedom is not defined by you or any other single person in America, so you saying he is required to stand and insinuating that you'll kick his ass if he's sitting next to you is simply another example of anti-freedom.

It doesn't make him a bad person, and it doesn't mean Wake Forest should be ashamed of him. Dude is a good guy and has made the All Star team, I'd say he's made WF proud.
