OJ made the Pro Bowl a bunch of times... you think USC is proud? Accomplishment in sports is nice. It doesn't determine character or define success as a human being.

I only used that example because you tried to say that making the all star team had some correlation to his character and intelligence. There's no connection there.
It shows he's succeeding in his chosen career field. How is that any different from somebody who graduated with an accounting degree and got a promotion?

And up until the moment he murdered his ex-wife, I'm sure USC was proud to count him among its own, mainly because of his accomplishments in football and not for his masterful acting in The Naked Gun. Until Josh commits a major felony, I'm afraid its your analogy that doesn't make much sense, nor does comparing him to OJ.

I didn't say that at all. I said arguing that if a person makes the all-star team it is somehow proof of good character is a wrong statement. Making an all-star team does not in any way prove good character.

It isn't freedom if I can't exercise it, is it? I doubt many soliders care what I think or get worked up about it. They should probably spend more time worrying about the veterans benefits they're not going to get from a Republican Administration.

No, I just don't vote for Presidents who send soldiers off to die in the desert for lies, nor do I support Presidents who send those soldiers off without proper body armor and can't find the money in the budget to take care of them when they get home. National anthem before sports event is quite an American thing.
In Europe there is no such thing. There are only anthems when national teams play.
