What a surprise... whottt getting his ass handed to him in a discussion and trying to insult his way out of it. This forum keeps getting more and more predictable.

What he said.
It's about the only rule I have on the whole forum, so please refrain.
Thanks.

I've noticed that there are very few posters in the political forum interested in anything other than hurling insults.

What a surprise...manumaniac remains an idiot with an inferioririty complex.
True...you acted defensive which I took to mean you must be from Cali.
Happy now?
Um...I made some very clear statements in the first post of this thread that are neither hard to understand nor misleading. That's the problem with having an ax to grind as opposed to actually being interested in dialogue-- it makes people ignore anything to win the fight, rather than simply admitting they'd jumped to an incorrect conclusion.
The fact that so many of you don't get the obvious point I was making is not my fault...
yeah, I'm the one with the inferiority complex

Of course not, nothing is ever YOUR fault whottt. You're just always so misunderstood...
Awright, so you're saying that within the USA, which is the largest consumer of oil of any country on the planet, the one state with by far the largest population is also the largest consumer of oil in terms of # of gallons, though many other states use much more oil per capita?
I agree.

I came in here to apologize for my state, now I feel the need to defend it.
First, there is absolutely no way of knowing how much oil there is below the surface of the earth anywhere. Most estimates were put together by the Department of the Interior that was recently busted for having sex and using drugs with the very oil company employees they were supposed to regulate. Second, the environmental toll of getting to that oil is going to be very, very high. Finally, that oil would only provide enough oil to support the US for about 3 years.
About the Hypocrites, I think you are referencing Al Gore and he lives in Tennessee. Certainly there are a lot of rich people here that use private planes, but most of them don't "lectur(e) on global warming and the evils of nuclear energy"
California uses less energy per capitia that any other state in the nation and has built more square feet of "green" buildings than any other state, so perhaps it is you that needs to STFU!
I've heard that it's anywhere between the 5th and 6th largest economy
I realize that in the rest of the country, Texas in particular it's fun to blame everything on California, but you don't know high gas prices 'till you've driven a mile in my tires
Also, have you ever wondered why cars are all advertized as having met California's emission standards? Because they are the most stringent in the nation!
I'm with you on that one
