How is that a blog when you update it like 3 times a year?
I think because all blogs aren't updated all the time, although it may be typical to do so. But, not all update constantly. The man obviously has numerous priorities, i'd probably have this at the bottom of the totem pole in the priorities list as well. Also, what is important, and what someone thinks is improvement, may be subjective at times as well. He may also live by this quote. Who knows...
"Don't speak unless you improve upon the silence"
So what's Cuban's point? To show that there's a lot of angry racist Internet Tough Guys? We already knew that.
Looks to me like he's just trying to paint Josh Howard as the victim here. Which is stupid.
Maybe he hopes they will stop spamming him?
Can't control what the internet does... y'all just crazy, man.
I emailed Mark about how he feels on the Spurs and Duncan being ejected for laughing in a game. He said and I quote:
"it was ridiculous. i don't care about the spurs one way or the other.
thanks
M"
He does have a point in terms of illustrating how Josh Howard must feel when he thought a private, or at least non-public, moment was shared with others without his consent.
Some of those emails were harmless and I really don't get what is the point of publishing them, but I would assume that at least a few people who emailed would be embarrassed to have what they sent published to the open.
What's lame about posting the emails and IP addresses of people that dropped the n-word? them.
Josh was out in the middle of a football field at a charity event held by one of the more well known athletes in the nation. Recording his thoughts in front of a large group of people. I can understand that he didn't expect those thoughts to get thrown onto YouTube, but there's no way he could consider his actions private or non-public in any way.
It's a far cry from an email from one person to another. Not to defend what these people said, their words were disgusting, but if Cuban was trying to make the point you suggest he was, then it was a terrible point and a huge stretch.
I'd rather his point be "I'm going to expose some dumbass racists"
I don't know if I could take J-Ho on my team if I played with him or as a fan. He just seems to be the type of guy I wouldn't like around me that is always running his mouth and thinking he's the . Cuban probably has only one option left: defending him because these antics just make it harder to trade him.
Examples include:
-Comparing himself to D-Wade before the Finals based upon their 2 college games. Then D-Wade puts on the greatest Finals performance ever (according to Hollinger)
-Continually runs his mouth during games to opponents and officials
-Calls the Suns “whiners” on Rome’s radio show
-Admits to smoking pot just before the playoffs
-Chokes in the big games (often by taking too many jumpers)
-Caught street-racing
-Makes excuses for his poor performance that become great quotes (“y’all crazy, man”)
These are just the things he does in public. I have to think that he probably hits Jason Terry in the nuts in the locker room and made Dirk run away to Australia and cry himself to sleep every night after the ’06 Finals.
I don’t have much room to speak, of course, because Amare is a moron and his selfishness and stupidity may have cost the Suns opportunities for deeper playoff runs. However, all I have are comments in Jack McCallum’s book and images of him jumping off the bench in the ’07 playoffs… he’s talking a big game about being dedicated to defense and loving the new coaching staff this summer, so he has a chance to prove himself to me again. Josh has provided much more public fodder for me to theorize greatly on the way he may act in private. I only see Cuban rushing to his defense… not Dirk, not JET, not Stack.
You don't think the Suns are whiners?
They are, but Ron is just defending his team within reason, like we all do. For a member of the Mavericks organization, with Mark Cuban as its owner, to call out another team for whining about the refs reeks of hypocrisy. I defend the Mavs from unfair criticism, just as I'm sure you do with the Spurs.
You like the suns?
Um, I think love is a more appropriate term. And it's been going on for about 25 fruitless, teasing, championship-free years...

I was discussing my feelings on Josh Howard and his often dumb public comments.
My thoughts are not centered on how Ron Burgandy (Mike D'Antoni) acted on the sidelines when Veronica Corningstone became an anchor (a foul was called on the Suns).
haha, props to you man. I was just trying to push your buttons a little bit.
I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion, he made a dumb comment plain and simple. He probably didn't mean it or he could have been drunk or high again when he said it. Howard is losing more and more respect by the day, he has to make a public apology soon before this issue gets even more out of hand.
This is quickly becoming a JailBlazer-type situation. Even if Howard recovers as a player, it seems like the whole environment around him has degraded, and it's just hard to see the rest of the team and the fans accept him anymore. And as we saw with the JailBlazers sooner or later that will show on the court, and in the Mavs case it has already done so.
I really think it's time for the team to cut ties with him. It's the way it's gotta go.
You're absolutely right, but it won't happen. At this point I'll take 10 cents on the dollar for Howard. Forget Jason Richardson, I'll take Matt Carroll for Howard at this point. No Michael Redd? No problem, give us Charlie Bell instead. It would be addition by subtraction, ridding themselves of a cancerous presence like him can only make the team stronger despite losing it's 2nd best player.
Unfortunately Mark Cuban loves Josh too much to do that, and Donnie is nothing more than a yes man with no testicular for ude whatsoever.
If Carlisle gets Josh turned around, it would be the best coaching performance in Mavs history.
Not siding with Howard by no means. But....
It looks like a nice diversion from getting the spotlight off of his player and his team and shining on the racists comments. Anyone in the history of Admin rights can post emails addresses and IPs. Anyone in his position, I'm sure, gets a hundred negative emails a day. He chooses now to expose people??
Looks like Cuban is a little more internet-savvy than the average e-mailing critic.
I know I'm gonna catch for this from mono, and probably deservedly so, but this whole episode makes me like Josh Howard a little bit more. Not that I'm opposed to moving him, but I want full value back, not some scrub. This team isn't going anywhere, anyways, at least for quite some time.
All the hate mails were more than likely directed to him. And I'm sure we all know he doesn't give a what other people think of him. But these emails weren't directed at him.
Props to Cuban for exposing those racists idiots.
