    ------------------------------

To pass the time until the start of preseason, let's see how SpursTalk.com ranks the Top 50 Spurs. Those eligible for the list include all players, coaches and owners. I don't want to define "top" too narrowly, but I think the best way to do it would be to think of the list as a list of the 50 most influential people who have helped make the Spurs one of the most successful franchises in the history of sport.

For more information on what we are doing, check out this thread.

In this thread, we will vote for spot number 37. Please place your vote. If you will, also explain in this thread why you voted how you did.

    Thanks.

    P.S.

Poll options listed in alphabetical order. If you want to vote for someone not on the list, post in the thread and I'll add the person.

Voting will end 2AM CST Monday morning.

    Please vote only once.

I like JJ and Fin at this slot. I'm leaning more towards Finley. Maybe Brickowski too. BTW, can you please add Eddie Nealy to the list?

    Fixed. Thanks.

JJ and Fin make a lot of sense. Maybe Egan as well.

I'll add Brick to the list of profiles.

BTW, can you please add Eddie Nealy to the list?
I'll put him in the next one.

Vinnie Del Negro has to be on this list at this spot. He's the Brett Favre of Spurs.

I voted Fin here basically because of his character and contribution as a starter on a championship team.

JJ probably deserves a spot, and I'd say the original Bruise Brothers do too. I also still like Gene Banks at this point, but he doesn't have a lot of support and I so thought I'd be better off putting my vote towards a viable candidate to hopefully stave off Rasho ever hitting the top 50.

If Rasho makes the top 50 the credibility of this list will drop by 97%.

I voted Finley just to keep the margin above Rasho, who still doesn't belong anywhere near this spot on the list.

He belongs there a lot more than Rodman does.

Meh, they're about equally worthless IMO, but you're doing a pretty good job of converting people away from Rodman. The people voting for Rasho won't be turned by simple logic, so I gotta stuff the ballot box. I'd have still said Vinny, but you hate him too for some reason so I won't bother.

Rodman cared about only one thing, grabbing a rebound. His overall effort level was bad.

Notice how he pushes Elliott out of the way of an easy rebound in the third video, only to give Olajuwon an easy offensive board.

I'm going with Fin to keep worthless players like Rasho and Del Negro out of the top 50. I've taken to stalking all day, and then casting my vote late with a non-repulsive candidate in these close races we have every day now.

I can't understand the love for Rodman. That guy was such a worthless piece of for the Spurs. What he did in Detroit and in Chicago doesn't apply on a list of all-time Spurs players, unless we want to start voting Moses Malone, Dominique Wilkins, Maurice Cheeks, Glenn Robinson, Nick Van Exel, and so on onto our list.

Kerr did more than that. He was the backup point guard for a while when Speedy was hurt. What he lacked in point guard skills, he made up for in his ability to get the team going. He knew when to push the ball and wake the team up.
