Celtics to meet Bush to celebrate championship
BOSTON,—The Boston Celtics will visit the White House to celebrate their 17th NBA championship with President Bush.
The team's owners, along with general manager Danny Ainge, coach Doc Rivers and members of the team, will attend a ceremony Friday afternoon with the president. The Celtics plan to give him a personalized jersey and an autographed basketball.
Boston defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in six games in June to win their first championship in 22 years.
On Thursday, fans lined up at the Connecticut state Capitol to see the championship trophy and Celtics star and former University of Connecticut standout Ray Allen.
Celtics guards Tony Allen and Rajon Rondo, Celtics President Rich Gotham and Celtics veteran JoJo White also were in attendance.
The group shared the trophy with fans at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield earlier Thursday.
Why would anyone want to meet that dumbass?

Celtics jersey emblazoned with "43," a nod to Bush's standing as the 43rd president, and an autographed basketball.Neat idea.
Except for the fact that he's only the 42nd President.![]()
I think it has more to do with the fact that both Bush and Kendrick Perkins sound like re s when they speakCeltics jersey emblazoned with "43," a nod to Bush's standing as the 43rd president, and an autographed basketball.
No, no... Dubya's the 43'rd president. (very, very unfortunately)
I wonder if they talked with Bush about the great job he has done as president
The Spurs gave him a '1' jersey.

" Number 1 Idiot "

bush, his father, and all the mindless drones that voted for that little sucker.
Props to Manu and Tim in that picture for saying " a tie, a jacket, it's just George W." Rasheed did the same thing when the Pistons visited the White House in 2004/05. Rasheed actually didn't even want to meet the President.
