Now with Blaine Irby out for the season, we have no TE to play in our offensive sets.
Add that to a pitiful RB corps and its going to be a very long season for the horns.
I'll be satisfied with another Holiday Bowl. But we're probably looking at the burger king whopper bowl.

I love it when people wish injury upon young athletes. Great sportsmanship.

I never understood why Finley left early. To be a special teams players for the Packers? Whatever happened to enjoying the campus life?

Finley was good last season, but I think he would have done much better this season, and would have gotten drafted much higher had he stayed. Now he's a third stringer in Green Bay, and plays mostly on special teams. Irby was playing good until the injury, though

It will be interesting to see what they can do.

I'm not too excited about the RB's. I think it's clear McCoy is the best rusher on the team.

Put Chiles at RB. It's worth a shot.

I know they haven't played anyone, but Cody Johnson, the RS Freshman RB has looked good the times he's been in the game. He may not be Jamaal Charles or Cedric Benson, but to call the current RB's pitiful is a bit much.

Long live jgw, the ultimate flamer-he just gets dumber by the day.

As for Finley, this would have been his break out season where he could have really elevated himself to a higher pick in the draft. But, he decides to not use a rubber and have multiple kids so that he's forced to enter the NFL and support them. Great thinking.

It's ok, jgw. I don't expect you to figure these things out, it's just part of your moronic nature. You can now go back to your George of the Jungle coloring book.

didn't know it had to be.

Greg Smith isn't going to be terrible, just green. And seeing as how their starting tailback has been injured for most of the three games played, I'll get scared if and when Fozzy sucks balls. Other than an anal raping from Oklahoma and Missouri, I see a pretty productive season. Holiday Bowl is probably what we'll get.

Starting RB? Fozzy has not started a game yet, and has shown no ability to stay healthy.

McGee needs to run out of the I, yet Mack admitted "We don't have a fullback" which makes no sense and scoffs the out of Antawn Cobb

Greg Davis' supposed genius will have to shine for us to escape this season with at least 8 wins.

You didn't know that jgw was a flamer? I think he likes to dress up in short pants and cruise the strip looking for 'speical' friends that he can discuss usc football with.

As for Finley, yup, word around Austin was that he had more than one kid to support-thus the reason for him entering the NFL before he's really ready for that level of play. With Jamal, I really thought he would be back for another season, but I can understand with him being a RB. They have a pretty short window for playing.

The kid was an opportunist. The reason he was at Texas was this very reason. He went from being a quality wing prospect for Lute Olson at Arizona, to being a good tight end for Mack Brown at Texas.

Kid jumped sports to jump schools, so it should be no surprise he jumped ship for a potential payday.
