I haven't read this thread through, but saw the le. Palin is an awesome pick. She basically ran against an in bent, won, threw out all the corrupt ers, looked at the budget they had and all the oil money coming in and said ' that, we're spending on we don't need' and cut it all. And told the oil companies that we need them, but we don't need them.

Palin's going to own Biden's ass in the VP debate, and this pulls in all the women who were going to vote for Hillary just because she was a woman. I really thought Palin would be on the ticket in 2016 as the Republican presidential candidate, but this is even better.

Mother of all trump cards for McCain, and she's going to bring in a ton of votes for the Republican ticket. Love it.

It energizes the Evangelicals, who don't like McCain. There was a big enthusiasm gap that will be bridged at least a bit. Turnout is key.

As Palin herself goes, there is little 'there' there. She's smart, personable, and attractive, but despite what the dead-enders say, she is a big vacancy in not just experience, but any interest in the wider world. McCain's campaign has to try to hide her away as much as possible.
