Between McCain's age and health and the fact that Obama skin color will paint a target on his back, front and side for plenty of psychos, that line about "one heartbeat away from the presidency" looms large in this election. Glancing at the resumes thus far Biden's is looking a lot more impressive.

Since Palin has been Governor for a year and Obama has around 145 days in the Senate, I'd say McCain can still use the inexperience card.
Probably won't carry as much weight though.
