On Monday training camp begins for the little Mavericks. And I'm actually really excited and amped up for it.
I, like most Mavs fans, have spent the large majority of the offseason ing about how much the team sucks and how little the front office is doing to fix that. But now that the season is here, it's time to rally behind the team.
There's still some reasons for optimism. They went to the Finals two years ago, won 67 the year after that, and last year we hung with every other Western Conference contender. Despite losing most of those games late in the year, we absolutely proved we can play with the likes of the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, etc. (up until the playoffs anyways). And we've still got Dirk. This team can win a le, I'm convinced of it.
So even though the offseason went in the exact opposite direction that most of us wanted it to go.....screw it. Doesn't matter. This is our team and we're standing behind them. Go Mavs!
And I can think of no better way to start this off than with a good ol' Mavs Fan Roll Call! Oh Yeah! So if you're an MFFL and you're Rowdy, Proud, and Loud then get your ass in this thread and sound off like you got a pair!

training camp acutally begins on tuesday with media day on monday but who cares mavs bball is back. The dictator is gone and Carlisle is in and J Kidd is here for a full season. cant wait to attend the 1st preseason game against the Wizards on the 7th. I cant believe i will be at a mavs game in 10 days. get the AAC ready, its time to blow the roof off

what team really gave us all that many problems last year. i mean we've owned all these "top-notch" teams (with the exception of SA) forever. Houston pssssh, New Orleans they're ok, Boston we can take them, LA pssssshhhh we gave them a 40 point loss at Staples, Golden State, they're nothing now, Utah garbage, Detroit (no contest) Phoenix ( a s of their former selves) with a new coach and a revamped team the sky is the limit!

Playoffs would be a different story, though.
