The incessant defense of Sarah Palin is absolutely unfathomable. You're asking us to accept her because she's not part of the Washington political en y? FINE. But let us SEE her first. , I've seen the Tina Fey skit more often and for longer durations than I have seen Sarah Palin since she was nominated.
Are you really going to tell me to accept a person who I've never heard of a month ago as viable for the 2nd (or one of the) most powerful position(s) in the world? It's absolutely ridiculous. The election is right around the corner and I have only seen Sarah Palin in one major spot (the RNC) and one solitary interview she did on TV.
People go through more rigorous checks on their stances on policies when they apply to work at Wendy's. And no, that's not hyperbole, sadly, though I wish it were.

She did answer it and Couric kept asking her the same question and she got pissed off because she knew it was a hit job.
Just like she answered Gibson's question explaining that there are many ties between Russia and Alaska including economic ones not to mention shared maritime boundaries....and they edited that out for the I can see Russia from my house comment.

If you were following this election in any meaningful way you could clearly conclude that the reason the McCain camp is hiding Sarah Palin is because she comes across poorly in interviews.

Palin's first response: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie--that, that's paramount. That's more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.
Palin's second response: He's also known as the maverick though. Taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about--the need to reform government.
